Hey freaps!
I have been trying to keep up and yay! there is going to be a freap meet! Yes- I like the visuals so be sure to take pics! I hope you all have a great time!
I can't believe we still have some sick freaps

and some freap surgeries scheduled and canceled
Just one big

to everyone!
I am still not able to sit straight up- so I had to make a "make-shift" desk today- I had to put 2 envelope boxes on top of my desk, place my keyboard on one and my mouse on the other- stand up and work all day
The percocets and motrin have made my pain- a dull ache instead of sharp, hitting a nerve, pain. I am going to stop taking the Flexeril- I woke up this morning and my eyes were a bit swollen, and my arm felt a bit numb. I read the paperwork that came with the RX and numbness was a side-effect so I do not want to take a chance on continue to take it.
OMG- I was so scared when I was in the ER- the doc said they would give me something for the pain so they placed an IV and the nurse explained she was giving me Dilaudid- however, she was only giving me a tiny bit at a time b/c if she put it in the IV all at once it can cause me to puke. She told me I have to relax b/c it will make me feel really funny at first. Well- she starts to push it and OMG- I said, NO MORE! NO MORE! It is making me feel funny! She said it is very common for people who are "control freaks" (THAT'S ME) not to be able to handle it. She had to "talk me down" from the weirdness I was feeling! Once I relaxed I felt better- my head was woozy, but I still had back pain

She asked me if I wanted more- and I said no way! I thought I was going to freak out when she gave it to me!
As far as my vacation went- it was great even though DH did not start feeling better (maybe 50%) until about Tuesday- We arrived on Saturday, ate, I had about 4 glasses of champagne (and YES! they were flowing freely at the resort!

) and we went to bed around 3pm that afternoon and did not get up until 7:30 am on Sunday!!
The resort was HUGE! Each bldg had their own concierge. I mentioned before it was very modern- the grounds reminded me more of Brazil than Mexico- lots of trees and greenery- It was pretty. TONS of iguanas everywhere. The staff was so friendly!
Their theater was huge also- one night they did The Lion King on stage. NOT as good as the Disney production, but still entertaining.
DH finally felt almost 100% on Friday- yes, the day before we left- he snorkeled at the resort all day. He said the snorkeling was great. I was not up to par to float around in the cold water. But you can see the fish as soon as you stepped into the water from the beach it was pretty cool. So I was standing in the middle of the fish for a while checking them out.
Thursday was the day I started with my back/leg pain. My back was hurting on and off starting Tuesday but then on Thursday I started have pain in my groin area, down the front of my leg and into my knee! I have felt this pain before b/c I have had sciatic problems for almost 12 years now. But as the day went on, the pain worsened. I could not sit up straight to eat and that was odd. At times I was in so much pain trying to walk that I would have to stop

This was all new to me! So what did I do to ease the pain- oh, 3 shots of tequila

Bite the lime- shot one, bite the lime, shot 2, bite the lime shot 3!

-- lay on the lounge chair and bub-bye!

I never did shots of tequila before- let me tell ya- tequila is GOOOOOD!
Even though DH was sick and then I was not feeling well, We still did our routine of waking up whenever, go down to the beach- stake out our hut, sit for a bit, go eat breakfast and then lay on the beach until about 4 or 5 (eating more in between). Go back to the room- take a shower, nap until maybe 8pm, then go to dinner, and see a show @ 9:30.
We booked our vacation through Apple, every Friday at this hotel they have an "Apple Reception" for all of their Apple guests. They put an invite with 2 nice shot glasses at your door. They have a steak and lobster night on the beach. It was a huge buffet they had a band, a gigantic cake for the guests- there were 10 people per table and you got to meet the other guests. The Apple reps and hotel manager and staff came around and introduced themselves. It was a nice little extra.
PS- I think I may have gotten totally screwed at the Cancun Airport- they had a drugstore in the airport- I asked the guy if they had anything stronger than Advil (for my pain on plane ride!) He said they had Vicodan- so I bought it for 60.00 USD- I Googled the ingredients when I got home and it seems they might only be TYLENOL! Anywho- I took one of those and then I bought some kind of anti-inflammatory patch and slapped that on my back and the combo made the plane ride bearable. DH also asked for seats near the emergency door - they have more leg room, and that helped also. Of course, if there was an emergency I would be the last person that would be able to assist ANYONE out of the plane with the pain I was in

But I had to give a verbal "yes" when the flight attendant asked me if I was willing and able.
Sorry so long-
