Sorry y'all that isn't really my tree. I'm not that creative, coordinated, or thirsty! My DSIL sent it to me, I don't think it's hers either, although my DBIL could empty that many bottles w/o much trouble.

Yes, you guys have found a great smiley resource! I love the little stick arms and legs...they are too funny! My favorite is the "running around for joy" guy.

I *LOVE* him...

He inspired me to write a piece in my blog about him...

Hey freaps!

Just checking in to tell you I did not forget about you all!

Still having INTERNET problems with my work computer.

I can get on the internet with my laptop only- it is a long story however- since I work from home- I need the internet to connect remotely to work- so my other computer is dead right now- my computer guy was here yesterday for an hour and a half and then my modem went ka-put. I called the cable company an they told me we had an outage in my area- that means- no more working on my internet problems for my computer guy.

I had to go into the office to work after that. and then, he could not come today- so again- I was at work. Crossing my fingers he will be here tomorrow, or else, I will have to go into the office again.

If/when he is here tomorrow- he is going to have to disconnect the internet again and I will be left with no laptop ARRRRGHHHH!

Just didn't want you all to think I forgot about you!:grouphug:

Ok, first of all, ol' spasm smilie is coming with me! Some of us like happy and frolic, some of us like neurotic! :confused3

Secondly, there isn't much worse than internet problems! We can intimately get to know our computers but the internet connection, especially wireless, is just out there in so many ways! Are you sure the power surge didn't fry your modem and computer, Madd? :scared:

Thirdly, the doodoo is there....trust me! :cool2:

Tinkerbean, did I miss the DH surgical explanation? If so, please explain again and excuse me....I am getting old (or so I am told).

Javaonline, you know, in response to your other thread, I am just not overly impressed with AAA and their travel services. I am sure I am going to step on someone's toes but I just don't feel so hot about their prices or their service as far as the travel end of it goes. When someone pays annual dues for a service, it just seems as though there should be a more intimate relationship between the consumer and the company and, given that they are based in providing "emergency services", it just seems that they could make an exception once in awhile when the consumer is faced with an emergency...if they want them to come back for more (travel) services! Or, maybe it is just me being snarky this week. :guilty:

Not fried. I just picked up a new modem on Monday- I can get into Word on my work computer(s) just not the internet. I think it MIGHT be the one router I use for work- b/c my wireless is getting me onto the internet fine on ly laptop

Well- freaps, I am off to work again. My computer guy called me this AM and told me he cannot make it until tomorrow- yes, Saturday- my boss asked me if I was pissed b/c it was the weekend- I said nope- I just want THIS FIXED! AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!

Bye for now!

I love Mr. Spasm smilie
spasm-1.gif
He is a perfect representation of my mental state right now. With DH being on the disabled list from the 14th until xmas, I have to get *everything* organized this week (mailing packages, teacher gifts, grocery shopping, decorating, advent calendar, blah blah blah
534876b6-2.gif
) Most times I just feel like I am going in circles
smile-crazyspin.gif

Last June Dh was out cycling and was hit by a car (knocked out for 20 minutes-the guy that hit him was cited with "failure to yeild to a cyclist" and fined $35.00).

At the hospital they did a cat scan and found an anomaly on his thyroid...Turns out they are pretty sure that it is cancer and he is scheduled for a partial thyroidectomy on Friday (if the pathology comes back positive they he will have to go back and have the rest taken out - and then do that nasty radioactive isotope pill thingy
thglowingskull.gif
).

This will be DH's 2nd bout with cancer in 3 years (advanced prostate cancer at age 42 - so people get your DH's and SO's checked) my DS10 has Asperger's Syndrome and totally freaks out when his Dad is in the hospital (dh also had hernia surgery back in september - we weren't allowed to call it "surgery" or "an operation", but we could call it a "proceedure" ) and DD7 is such a daddy's girl, it will be hard on her too...

But as my BFF tells me, "So it was a GOOD thing that Randy was hit by a car..."
Smiley1.gif

So that my story and y'all have been keeping sane and a great distraction...

Sweetie, you and your family have been going through more than anyone should have too. Especially at this time of the year. I know that YOU are the glue holding all of this together, maybe one day next year you can have a moment and just let it all out. I hope you have a good support system for you, but you know you have cyber friend who care...really care. Prayers, pixie dust, fingers and toes crossed, whatever it takes, you got it babe.

I had a partial thyroidectomy, benign thankfully. Tell your DH that at least the surgery isn't that bad. I was an overnight patient, fine the next morning went home..no pain meds necessary for me at all, not even aspirin.. I DID end up with a fine set of "Frankenstein" stitches (staples on a pretty long incision..looked like a "Ciclyian necklace" as the mafia calls it..lol..), but the surgeon put it right into one of the lovely lines I already had in my neck...so you can't even see it, looks like just ANOTHER wrinkle. Tell him it's a piece of cake...

I LOVE all your little stick smilies, and when I have a moment, I am coming back and stealing every single one of them...

Take care honey...
