I think it was Bill in PA that had a great link to his post re: canceled flights. If anyone has it, I would love to see it.

In NE Ohio they are predicting a snow storm on groundhog day- which of course is the day we fly out of Cleveland.

Are you kidding me?

We have no clue where to begin rearranging things if the storm happens and our morning flight gets canceled- any help would be appreciated!

I am worried as well - same prediction here in CT! Not sure of the timing of the storm, but I am so scared we will not be able to fly out!!!

How difficult is it to move your reservation a day or two? Or add a day?

UGH- the local forecasts are claiming that this will be a BIG storm BLAH! If it hits Ohio, which they think it will on early Wednesday we are SCREWED lol. Our flight is at 9am so hopefully we can get out before it starts.... if not----

no clue. I checked the airline (continental) and they have no other direct flights out the night before-
I dont mind adding a night on before but its the flight we are worried about!

DH and I were just talking about adding on Tuesday night to see of we could get out before the storm hits. Our flight leaves CT at 7:25 am so we might be able to get out before it starts. I can't find a time frame on the weather sites.

Does anyone know igniter charge a fee other than the cost of a room to add a night on?

Airfare will also charge a fee to switch tickets right?
Man this is not fun!

Dear snow, please go away!

Similar thing happened to me last year. They were predicted a blizzard that ended up brining about 2 feet of snow on the day we were scheduled to leave. I kept calling the airline to see if they could move me to an earlier flight the day before and they gave me the speech about it has to be cancelled to do that and they don't make that call until the day of. Anyway, I was persistant and asked to speak to a manager and after talking to her she switched me without charge. This was probably 2-3 days before leaving. Then I called Disney and got the cheapest hotel room for one night and it all worked out fine. Even got extra time in Disney. If that's what you want to do be persistant and ask to speak to a manager, don't take no for an answer. It would've have taken us probably closer to 2 days to get out after the storm if we waited, it was a mess.

If your flight is grounded, you could always jump in the car and drive down
, avoiding as many mountains as possible

Keep in mind it's still sometime until next Wednesday. They could easily be off a day or two---or wrong!!
