I booked my trip and used a 40% discount pin. Everything is paid for. After reading some of these stories I am terrified that I am going to get there and be told I have to pay even more money! Am I overreacting? Can I call to make sure this does not happen???

Yes.. Your over reacting... Calm down... You only hear horror stories from like 0.000001 % of total people... So dont worry

Don't worry, everything will be fine. Bring a copy of the e-mail or the postcard with you just in case.

Answering a couple of questions will confirm whether or not a freak-out is warranted.

First: Have you saved ALL of your confirmation details that you got from Disney? If you booked through them, print out all e-mail correspondence. This doens't guarantee that a problem won't happen, but it helps. However, this is is really not a major factor regarding the price "changing". So, even if you haven't saved or printed anything, I wouldn't freak out over that.

Second: Was it really YOUR Pin Code? If it was, I wouldn't think you should worry. It would also be helpful if you saved the postcard and/or e-mail with the code number, but like question one, that isn't necessarily the crucial point. I would be a "little" freaked out if I hadn't saved the PIN codes, but only a little.

IF, on the other hand, you managed to use someone else's PIN Code, or scammed the system in any way - then there may be a good reason to freak out. Apparently, a lot of people got away with this last year, but some got caught too.

Really, trying to cheat is the most likely reason for a "price change" If you didn't, I wouldn't worry at all.

It was my pin....I got something in the mail and they stated that it was attached to my name when I called. I am not in anyway trying to scam Disney. I don't know for sure where the pin is, but you can now bet I am going to try to find it. Also, I have my receipt from Disney where is shows where I paid the balance in full and shows a 0 balance. If I don't find the pin, should I worry??? WOW this is going to stress me out! Thanks for your help though!

Don't worry- you're good! :thumbsup2 If it makes you feel better, stick the postcard in with your trip stuff in case you need it, but I truly doubt you will. Have a great trip!

If your flying then you can worry !
Increased prices, 2nd bag charges, fuel surcharge, grounded planes, drastic change of flight times, Delta cutting 45% of flights to MCO, less competition, higher fares with what the economy can support, and the list goes on .............................:scared1:

Don't worry. Trust me, there are plenty of other things to stress out about, like the above PP has given.

You only needed to worry if you scammed. And you didn't. So no worries.

Think about all the great memories you are going to be making instead. :thumbsup2

A friend had 20% code booked..She read on here sporatically that some people are lucky enough to get 40%..she called and asked if she had 40% code attached to her name or profile...They said no but apparently gave her 40% discount anyway...She was nervous..

She has e mail adjusting her reservation....

I'm wondering if a situation like this is subject to additional scrutiny....I told her she was quite lucky!!!Do you think a situation like this might have a problem even though she has the adjusted e mail confirmation?

Thnx.

I caved and called Disney. I explained to them what my worry was and they were very nice about checking my ressie for me again. The nice woman that I spoke to stated that I had the 40% discount attached to my name specifically that is why I did not have to tell them my pin when I called. She stated to me that everything was fine and that I had nothing to worry about. She stated to me that all I needed to bring was a printout of my reservation. I apologized for wasting her time!! I know I have been advised to bring the postcard with the code, the problem is that DD has looked at that little brochure so much that it is worn out and somewhere in the abyss that is her room!!! Thanks so much for all of your reassuring words.

I just want her first trip to be perfect!!

It will be perfect! It's her first trip. There is nothing else like your first trip to Disney.

ENJOY!!

I asked for a hard copy of reservation from Disney. On that reservation on the left hand side near the top was my pin number. I was given the 40% code over the phone. CM told me I had a pin with my name. They told me I would be getting the email with the code soon. I have never received it!:confused3 I was freaked out too. I called back and another CM told me I had no code. I said look at my reservation and see the price I paid. She said "I see that, but I see no code":confused3 I Called back again and there was a code:scared1: I was very super happy when the hard copy arrived with the code on it!!!!! I am definetely taking that to Disney with me!!!!:scared1:
