There is still an email scam going around that is targeting eBay users. I just received an email not 30 minutes ago attempting to get me to provide my name, address, logon, password, credit card info, etc.
The email <b><i>appears</i></b> to be from "ebay" and mine was titled <b>Security Alert!</b> I think it is ironic that the authors of this email are the actual security issue.
Below is the text of the message I received. I've broken the links so that no one will use them accidentally.
Be aware that just because the link they provide for you to click on says <font color=blue>http://www.ebay.com/...</font>, this does not mean that is where you will be directed if you click on it. In my case, I tracked it down to an internet service provider in Lousiana. The page displayed will look like it is eBay, but it isn't!! EBay clearly states that they will not send emails like this or ask for this type of information.
