I am really interested in checking out the Pixar exhibit along with the rest of the Franklin Institute in Philly. Like any good Diser, I have some questions if anyone can help me out. I haven't been there since jr high over 20 years ago.
1. I remember it being really busy, are the crowds crazier all the time in the summer or would a weekday be better? How about before schools let out? How are the crowds on a typical weekday? (non holiday of course)
2. The site recommends purchasing online in advance. Would you recommend picking just a few exhibits to focus on ? It seems like there are a lot of areas, I didn't know how much time it actually takes to explore the exhibits.
Thanks for any help
Heidi

We went this past weekend. Stayed about 5 hours and did one planetarium show. We didn't buy our tickets online, waited until we arrived. All seemed fine to me, crowds were great! Of course it was a nice day out so I think a lot of people remained outside for the day. Enjoy
(We did not do the Pixar experience though)

Thanks for the info! I think we may end up on a weekend too if we go before school lets out. We hope getting there early will help too. I won't buy tickets until we are firm on a date.

I'm from Philly. Weekday school days can get crowded when they get large class trips so weekends may be safer to go. Usually crowds aren;t too bad.
