Just received a phone call about our site visit on July 15th. Diane said Franck's will be under rehab when we are there in July so we have to meet her at the GF convention center instead. She said the WP will still be open though. Not sure when the rehab starts and stops but just a heads up if anyone planned on going to Franck's in July! :)

Here's a little more info about the rehab—sounds like the Aug. 28 Open House will be the official debut of its makeover!

From Mouseplanet.com:
If you're planning to get married, it's a perfect time to check out Franck's Studio at the Wedding Pavilion. The studio of Disney wedding planners is getting a major makeover, including two new planning rooms, additional computers and televisions, new furnishings and more. The refurbished studio opens mid-July.

Interesting! I wonder what mid-July means since we have our appointment on the 15th! :lmao:

ours is the 12th - i know Karen H is on vacay after that - haven't heard if we are supposed to meet elsewhere.... i *think* our paperwork said frankcs....

From AllEars:

Franck's Bridal Studio, built 15 years ago alongside Disney's Wedding Pavilion and named after the wedding planner character Martin Short played in the film "Father of The Bride," is undergoing a major enhancement. The Victorian summerhouse was created as a one-stop shop for couples to meet with a Disney wedding planner to review all the details for the big event. The studio showcases cakes, linens, floral, table settings and more. A highlight of the Franck's makeover involves online tools to assist with remote planning, including a Facebook application so couples can easily share details of their wedding with friends and family. The tools also allow guests to accept RSVPs and purchase tickets and room nights. Using Google Earth images and video, the Virtual Venue Tool brings wedding and reception venues at Disney to life with the click of a mouse. Two new planning rooms, additional computers and televisions, and newly designed furnishings round out the elegant setting of the new Franck's studio, slated to open mid-July.

YOU WILL BE HAVING YOUR SITE VISIT ON MY WEDDING DAY!! Hopefully they are just rehab in the inside on that day. I guess the wedding pavilion is far enough over we wont have construction vehicles in our pictures I hope.

I'm having my PS on July 1st and Karen (my planner) has not informed me of anything:confused3

I read that in allears today....I am wondering, can I stop by Franck's to look around if I don't have our VR booked yet? Just to get ideas....or is this only for booked brides?

The rehab does sound great!
