Francisco the cat

Is he the big one that would hang out around Grizzly River Rapids? I've heard about him. He's pretty freindly I guess compared to most. The only Disneyland Cat that I've actually seen was one hanging out on top of the exit for Indiana Jones, just sunning himself near one of the holes in the top.

Yes that is the one. We always look for the cats

I haven't heard of that. I didn't know they adopt the cats out. They're all so cute and it's such a treat to see them :)

There are two torties that are both in the same area by Grizzly River Run.

Francisco is the one with long hair. She can be seen pretty regularly and might have gotten too friendly for her own good.

Snickers is the one with shorter hair and you don't see her as much.

The long haired one that some like to call Francisco is Snickers. This has been confirmed by multiple CMs who have seen what her vet record states. Francisco is a guest created name.

There's only one tortie now that hangs out near GRR. There were 3 at one point.

I love that Disney cares for these cats and sees to their health as needed, but also just generally lets them hang out and do their thing. I know they are used for pest control, but they are alos supplementally fed and provided for. What a life to just live at Disneyland!

Fun fact I learned about Snickers is she's allergic to I think it's fish? Disney really does good by these cats and they're such a fun Easter egg in the parks. Also more reason people should just observe and not feed 😂

I looked up pictures of Snickers - what a beauty!

Those cats near GRR are also very close to Whitewater Snacks, or whatever it's called now. I remember eating on the patio and seeing cats come out from under the redwood trees to cadge food from guests.

Officially her name is Snickers 👀

The other cat that looks similar to her and used to hang out in the same area is the one that was supposedly adopted out. I've still seen Snickers around in her usual territory.
Thank you. I always wondered why the name was Francisco since it was a girl lol. We will look for her when we go next month.

There are some very passionate CMs who hate the name Francisco 😂. I just find it all funny since she does not look like a Francisco to me.

In the grand scheme of things I don't think it really matters. We had a stray cat at my work with two different names. The name crew called her was told to us wasn't her real name since facilities actually took care of her and facilities' name for her. Joke's on them. Facilities never took her to the vet. I did. I got to put her official name on record. They still call her the old name even though she's adopted out now and we told them we made her crew name official 🤣. Which is fine. I just laugh because I'm the one who actually got her care.

We saw a cat once out by Trader Sam's - so they're not just a park thing! But Snickers/Francisco is the only one I've ever consistently seen.

The story about them opening up the castle and finding a herd of stray cats in there is legendary!

I don’t remember the name but there’s at least one that roams the DLH pool area regularly.
