Thank youOh no! I don't have any advice, just wanted to send some pixie dust your way. Hope you're feeling better soon & it doesn't interfere with your WDW plans too much.
Ok i will look into itI know there are a couple of companies that will rent you a scooter for the week. Never used one, but I've seen them all over the parks before.
Ok great thanks for the infothey are right after bag check and just before the right hand tunnel before going under the train tracks
have you thought about posting this on the disability bard there is a lot of good information on that bard
I am an accident waiting to happen on a good day but crutches are impossible to manage lolOh no, so sorry to hear it! I think scooter rentals are right at the front of each park. If I recall, for MK it's right under the train station. Don't know the cost. Hope you have a great time regardless!! I've been fortunate to never have that happen, but I was on crutches a few years ago after hip surgery and I agree there's no way on earth I'd have done WDW on crutches.
Thank you for the infoMy wife's step mom rented one at MK back in March. It was $50 a day, with a refundable deposit. Go to Disney's page for more information - https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/ecv-rentals/
I don't know how much it would cost to rent one for the week, but at $50 a day renting through Disney, it may be worth it to check with a non-Disney local place to see what it would cost to rent one for the week.
I had to use a wheelchair temporarily last year, and it was very uncomfortable. It gave me a new appreciation for what folks have go to through who have to use one 24/7.
And, I hope you heal quickly!
I am dreading the looks on the bus loading areas when everyone is pissed we get on ahead of them and i look fine since there is not in a c ast its just an ankle braceSorry to hear your news. I think it's around $40 a day at MK. As others have said you can rent one from a Disney approved company and it works out cheaper plus you have it to travel with from your resort. They fit on the bus if you are staying on a Disney resort. You can charge them up in your room. The Disney approved companies drop them off at bell hop and pick them up. You can get a quote online. Good luck!

I would disregard others and put your health first.I am dreading the looks on the bus loading areas when everyone is pissed we get on ahead of them and i look fine since there is not in a c ast its just an ankle brace
Lol thanksDisabilities are invisible people should not judge so much. Most people I have found are fine homestly. I am a wheelchair user. I use to use a scooter when I was more mobile. Anyway sweetie your vacation you enjoy it! Ignore the comments! Most people comment on my cool Captain America wheels lol..

Thanks for sharing and your pep talkI'm sorry to hear about your ankle, it must be so stressful. Even in good health it's exhausting navigating the parks and resorts at Disney.
My FIL had to rent a scooter last year after he had been hospitalized the month before our family trip and put on oxygen. He hated holding up the buses for loading / unloading. But I just calmly helped out however I could - we had 22 people with us - all his kids, their spouses (me being one) and grandchildren. But only him and my MIL went on first, and then the rest of us stood in the regular line and boarded after. It is a difficult situation; you will find there are so many varying opinions about scooters on buses and loading / unloading - but at the end of the day, I was just happy that he was with us. My goodness he had been in the ICU just 6 weeks earlier and we were lucky he pulled through! He only went on the trip because he wanted to be with all of us.
Just go with the flow and do what's best for you and don't worry about anyone else - they're not in your shoes - or should I say ... brace? And I'm sure they wouldn't want to be!
Have a great trip!
PS - check out the "dis"abilities board for info about renting scooters from offsite - very easy!
