FPs only to guests of Disney Hotels?

A friend of mine took her family to DL in March and said that the only people who get to use Fast Passes are the ones who stay at PP, DLH or GC? Is this true??

Not true, Fastpasses are open to EVERYONE (well everyone who enteres the park and has a ticket )

Disney states very clearly the rules for FP - they are available to everyone - yet misunderstanding is common.

Thanks! I thought it sounded strange! She said it was one reason why they stayed at one of the Disney hotels. I don't think I'll tell her unless she mentions she's going again - I don't want to ruin her thinking she got something special.

Maybe they got FP and Early Entry confused. You can use EE every day that it is offered when you stay at a Disney Hotel but otherwise the only way to get it is to have a 3day or more parkhopper and then you only get to use EE one day.
