FPs for Tier One Question

Staying offsite and I’m frustrated with FPs. I’m especially frustrated with the tier 1 issues for HS and AK. I’ll be selecting HS soon and Touring Plans shows that the FPs for TSM and SDD have been “distributed” already for the day we are going. So that leaves us with Alien SS and we have no desire to ride it. So...
#1. If I have to make a tier one selection and it is going to be late in the day for a ride I don’t even want to ride, I won’t be able to make any more FPs until the late one is done. Is this right? So no more tier 2 selections after I’m done with the 2 I have? What if I’d like to park hop?
#2. Do they run out of tier 1? What if in the above example all three are distributed? Do I get a third tier 2? If so, I’d be tempted to not select *** in the hope it would run out.
I’m having the same issue with AK because a late Na’vi River FP blocks me from making more tier 2. I’d rather skip it because AK is a half day park for us.
Gahhhh! I want the paper FPs that I could manipulate back!!!

You don't have to make a tier 1 selection. Its that you may only make 1 Tier 1 selection in the first 3 that you make. You can make 3 tier 2 FPs, or less.
If you want to park hop, you can only select FP ahead of the day at one park. You can do all 3 at one park or only 1 at one park. Once you have tapped in on a FP for the day, you could then try and book a FP at another park if you were going to parkhop.
I suggest reading the FP FAQ sticky. It has lots of good information.

You can pick all three from Tier 2 if you want.

Ahhh. I read the sticky, but somehow missed that I don’t HAVE to pick a tier 1. I’m a doof. Thank goodness that y’all are saving me from my addled middle aged brain. That’s what happens when 4 years pass without a Disney trip - you lose the planning skills!
