FP with a Paper Ticket

How do the FP machines work? We have paper tickets I printed off of the computer. I am only familiarto WDW FP machines where the park admission ticket waas slid into the machine. I just realized we are leaving in 2 1/2 weeks and I ha e so many details to pin down!

In my experience, once you get to DL, they will take the paper tickets you printed off and issue you ones that you can use in the parks. You can use that ticket to go to a FP machine, slide the ticket into the machine and it spits out your pass, so it sounds like similar to the WDW version.

As the PP said, the CMs at the ticket gates or ticket booth will exchange your paper printed ticket for the standard credit card sized ticket that can be used in all FP and return ticket machines. DLR still uses the legacy/paper FP system, similar to the one WDW had before they went to Magic Bands and FP+. They do enforce return times, so be sure to return to the attraction during the time window printed on the FP.
