We will be going during peak crowds - Christmas week - we usually rope drop most mornings. With the tiered system our plan is to RD one favorite and then FP+ the other. Our two Tier 1 favorites are Soarin' and Test Track. Which would you RD and which would you FP+ and why?

When I see this question, most people respond that you should FP Soarin and do TT standby. However, when we were there last month we did exactly the opposite. We were at rope drop and headed to Soarin'. I'd say about two-thirds of people went to Test Track. You could just see the huge crowds heading that way and a much smaller crowd heading to Soarin'. We were able to get on the first ride of the day at Soarin and then head over to Test Track for our FPs shortly after. We do take advantage of single rider for multiple rides on Test Track, but like to have at least one ride where the whole family's together so we definitely do the FP there.

FP test track...why? It breaks down A LOT. So when you have a FP and it breaks down during your window, you get to come back FP later...if you're standby, you're out of luck!

I agree. And if the weather happens to be bad in the morning of your Epcot day, and the ride is down at rope drop? It's definitely better to have the Test Track fp.

Just our experience...two weeks ago we did FP+ for Saorin' and stand by for Test Track, and got in the line with a 20 min wait. It broke down while we were designing our car, and we had to exit the building. We were given anytime paper fastpasses to use. So we were not out of luck!

Depends on weather too. FP for TT is worthless unless it clears up.. I say FP soaring and stndby TT...

TT has a Single rider line
and when TT breaks down or weather issues, then Soaring jumps instantly to 60 minutes plus.

Unless you are a group of boys crazy about cars,, then TT
