I realize the sky is falling in regards to the new FP+ rollout and the complaints I'm sure are valid in many instances. And I am not a fan of having to have all FP+ in one park.
With that said, I'm pretty excited to see how it works. We just did our FP's for our trip Easter week.
For me one of the positives is the relative close time frames I was able to secure.
For example. I have FP's for Toy Story 5:00 to 6:00, Star Tours 6:35-7:35 and Tower of Terror 8:10-9:10, If I choose to I could plan on arriving around 5 and be able to leave a little after 8. There is no way in the old system I could spend the day at the hotel or other parks and slide over to the Studios late in the day and get those 3, pretty much back to back. I realize Star Tours later in the day can be had with little wait. I'm just excited that I don't have to get there first thing in the morning to secure Toy Story and run from attraction to attraction to get the FP.
On most of our days I planned compact times in the AM, or afternoon, or evening, to give us the flexibility for the rest of the day. I have had to many visits where we have gotten FP's and the time might be 5 hours later (Soaring, Rock N Roll etc). I realize everyone has different ways they enjoy the parks but I will see how it works for us.
