FP - stupid question

This is probably a stupid question, but here it is.
From reading the boards, I know you can only have one FP at a time. But is that per person or per group? At one point it sounded like the tickets were "grouped" so maybe that's why I'm confused.
An example would be say if DH and I decided to split up. He takes our oldest DD and wants 2 FP for SM. At the same time, I take the little ones and we want 2 FP for Winnie the Pooh. Can we do that?

Yes, you can get one FastPass per admission ticket!

You'll need a FP for each person getting on a ride, so no grouping.

you can get a FP for each multi park ticket
so if you have 10 tickets you can get 10 FP's it does not matter for which rides
but each person needs a fast pass for a ride
so if you have FP for 10 diffrent rides only one person will be able to ride
you can get another FP in a specified time frame which does overlap with the one you have if you look at the bottom it will tell you when you can get another FP

I have not been to WDW since November 2004 so I haven't had to deal with the new tickets yet. Some of my family is going next week. One family member asked me if you have to pay for fast passes. I assured her "no," everyone gets them. They come with your admission ticket. She said that she thought she had to pay a to receive them. I didn't think that was correct, but I haven't had to buy the new tickets yet. The fast passes are still free with your admission pass........correct??? If not, someone fill me in on this change please!

Multi park? You can get fastpasses with single day tickets.
