My 60 days is still a ways away but like all of you, I'm already trying to plan it out in my head. What would you suggest as my strategy considering we want SDD and FoP? Which to get first? Also, what is the best way to do it? Meaning, are you logged in on 2 devices at the same time? My husband will be no help so it will all be on me.

TIA!

1. Toss up. Slight edge to SDD, as its FP is very difficult to get.
"Better" overall attraction is FoP. But, SDD is a really FUN 'coaster.

2. Some do that. And, it can be valuable for faster timing.
My husband will be no help...
But, If that's the case (and I have to take your word for it...)
it will all be on me.

Agree with Robo. SDD is very difficult to get. This is my primary desktop, and I was not able to get one yet for my May trip:

I was able to get an FOP, which is a higher priority for my family. Just like with ADR's, sometimes if you try again closer to your trip, they will become available as people tweak their plans.

How long is your trip if you can get those latter in your trip the better luck you will have. Do one FP then get the other FP then you can fill in your days.

Our trip is a week but only 6 park days. I'll have to figure out which is more of a priority and go from there. Thanks!

100% agree. Our 60 day mark was this past Saturday and to get FOP and SDD we had to pick days at the end of our stay. I was factoring in crowd calendars to pick which parks on which days, but it didn't occur to me that I would need to adjust park days dependent on when FP's for the hottest rides would still be available. Adjusted accordingly (on the fly which stressed me out) and we are all set now.

I would go for the hard to get FP towards the middle and end of your trip....not the beginning. We were just there in March and I didn't have a problem getting them. I use my desk top computer, and it's all on me too, so I understand. I was able to do it at 7 a.m. and still get my daughter up and out the door for school.

If your trip is 6 days of parks you should have fairly good odds to get both. I usually book using my phone and my desktop, I have both open.

My strategy for my May trip was to have my days somewhat planned. When the window opened, I went straight to our last park day and searched for FOP. Got one in the afternoon. SDD was next, which I wasn't able to get. Then 7DMT - which I was able to get on our MK day for the evening. Filled in all the rest after that.

I personally would go for FOP before SDD. I think it's the better ride. I also know that I've never seen a FOP FP appear the day of (4 trips since it's opened), but our trip in March did end up scoring a SDD FP the day of while refreshing in the app in the afternoon. I saw some later that day in the evening as well. And on my August trip I know some SDD FPs showed up later in the day as well, however we already had FPs and my 5 yo niece said she wasn't riding that thing again! :rotfl:

It has been just me all of the times I've tried for FPs, and have been able to get what I want the majority of the time. Good luck!!
