FP+ Strategy

My FP window opens in a few weeks and we're in the process of determining which FPs we want. Our park days are 60+1, 60+2, and 60+3. Do you think we'll be able to get FOP for 60+2 and Slinky Dog for 60+3? I'm not concerned about our 60+1 selections (we'll be in Epcot that day).

Usually for FoP people are able to get full times at 64 and 65 days out. For 62 days you still have a good chance of getting it, but it might be for the afternoon or evening.

That's what I was thinking. Do you think I should try for FOP first and then SDD? Or should I try the opposite direction?

I booked last week for our late August trip. I got SDD at 60+3 but not until 6:50p-7:50p. I got FOP in the early afternoon but that was for 60+5, I didn't look earlier in the week.

My order was FOP, SDD then SDMT. I was unable to get SDMT at all for our arrival day.

This is helpful. Our AK day (60+2) is also our MCVMCP day so hopefully we'll be able to get something that doesn't interfere with our ability to get to MK for the party on time.

When we booked our FPs at day 60 - I could only get FOP at day 63 in the late afternoon yet SDD was available for day 61 almost all of the day. What was so weird was a couple of days ago (with our trip about 40 days away) they opened more FOP FPs for August so I was able to get FOP for day 61 and day 62. Also SDD was still available for day 65 but that was before Toy Story Land had opened.

I would try for FOP first and then SDD.

We are going in late August as well, got pretty much every one we wanted except FOP, which has my Fiance very concerned. I think the day we are doing AK has early morning hours, park level is estimated to be a 6/10. If we get there before rope drop, what is the best advice for getting to ride first thing in the morning? 1. What time should we arrive (park opens 8am for EMH)? 2. Should we just run to the nearest FP machine first? We are ok if we are riding it later in the afternoon, so time doesn't really bother us unless it's during our dinner ressies. 3. Should we just run right to the ride itself, probably along with every other person in the park lol? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!
