This will be our first trip using FP+. Just from what I've been reading about it, it seems that making all your reservations for early in the day so that you can get your 4th. 5th, 6th...+ on the go throughout the rest of the day is the best strategy? Has anyone tried this?

How hard is it to get those extra fastpasses? Do they tend to be gone really early in the day and then you're stuck?

Thanks

That's the key question right now. Pros and cons to each method. Monitor the board since what people are saying now about how easy to get might not be true in 2 weeks (or 2 hours...).

I'm pretty sure that if you get to a ride at your FP time and the SB line is short, you can hop in the SB line and change that FP for a time later in the day on your phone. :)

This strategy makes a lot of sense in MK, since there are several rides and meets with long waits in the AM, and numerous secondary rides that would benefit from using FP #4-10 on. We may do something like 7DMT at rope drop, then PPF, A&E, and ETWB with early FPs 9am-12pm. We hope to use extra FPs for the mountains and all the other rides, as they seem easily available day of.

Other parks, there is really less need for extra FP, particularly Epcot and AK. I'll probably schedule my 3 FP for the 11am-3pm times here.
