So I know that FP bookings are all an hour (ex, 915-1015, 2-3, etc). And I know I have to use all 3 FP first, then I can book a 4th and so on at a Kiosk. Here is my question. Lets say all 3 of my FP are gone by 2pm. And I can get a 4th for 3-4. If at 320, that FP is used, can i book the 5th in the same time frame? Or do I need to wait until 4pm timeframe is up before booking the next FP?

Also, have any of you had much success booking multiple FP in MK? My friend was there in last May and she had a ton of success ... But we were there a week later and I found it a hassel to even find the kiosk ... maybe I just need to be better prepared on their locations?

Thoughts?

1. Not necessarily. Fastpasses for shows only give you a 20 minute return window.
2. Either you have to use them or they have to have expired.
3. Yes. You can get one immediately if there's something available.
4. No.
5. We can easily get 10 additional fastpasses in a day.
6. They're marked on the park map.

As soon as you've used that additional FP+ selection, you can go back to a kiosk and make another.

Last week I was able to get between six and eight additional fast passes by going to the kiosks. Only one day had we been able to get more then one additional. I think it depends on time of day (later better) and crowd level. I will say that each new fast pass we book was really only 15 to 20 minutes out so it was great timing and just kept moving to the next ride looking at stand by time of 60 minutes and walked throught the fast pass line.

Good luck and have fun.

Curious to your touring strategy. I know ppl have different views on how to FP (times, etc). Just wondering how u can get ten extra?? Do u use your FP first thing in am so u can get to kiosks earlier? I tend to rope drop, do as much as I can, start FP around 11, done with them by 2. I'm thinking that's too late to get too many extra ...

I'm confused. Are you saying that you were able to only get one extra FP at the most on every day except for one day when you were able to get more than one? So the total of between 6 and 8 was for the whole week (how many days)?

Also, when you say later is better do you mean it is easier to find an available FP when looking later in the day or it is easier to find a FP that has a return time later in the day?

We have had a lot of luck getting 4+ fast pass at MK. We used to not use the old FP system but really enjoy what FP+ has to offer us. At MK, we easily can use all 3 of our initial FP+ then use the kiosks to get between 7-10 more rides. When we traveled in the summer, over July 4 week, we rarely waited in standby lines at MK because we were able to book so many additional FP+ times. I think most of the luck boils down to how many FP+ you're trying to book at once. In July, I was just with my sister, and it was easy to find availability for 2 people on a lot of things. When we travel with our whole family of 6+ people, it's going to be near impossible to find things as a whole group same day.

We generally start using fastpasses around 11:00 as well. If our first one is from 11:00-12:00, the second one is 12:00-1:00, and the third one is 1:00-2:00, we can select the fourth one around 2:15 or so, and then keep going to kiosks and getting them when it's convenient. It's easy to get 10 in a day.

I can't speak for the PP, but I can tell you our experience. On our full day at MK last June, we did rope drop and then had our FP+ scheduled at 10:30, 11:30, & 12:30. We were at a kiosk around 1:00 to book our 4th FP. There was plenty of availability (the only things I remember that weren't available were A&E meet & greet and 7DMT) -- with many attractions having availability almost immediately. We were ready for a break so we chose a FP time for 6:30 p.m. and headed back to the hotel for a few hours. When we got back to the park that evening, we used our previously scheduled FP and then went to a kiosk to schedule another one. We chose an attraction that we wanted to experience that was close by and had a return time in the next few minutes. We'd ride that ride and then go back and schedule another one always trying to get something that had a return time in the next 5-10 minutes. We got an additional 7 FP's that day (for a total of 10 including our pre-scheduled ones in the morning). By 10:00, the lines were short enough that we really didn't need to get FP's anymore so we didn't bother. Had we continued to get FP's just for the sake of getting them or had we stayed in the park for the afternoon, we could have easily gotten at least 15 FP's that day.

After using the original three they only would let you get one at a time. After the 3 then go and get one. After using that one go and get another. Only one night after doing the one at a time thing had we been able to book three. It was after 6pm and a chilled evening so the park was very empty. Really did not need as most stand by were 20 minutes or less.

Here's what I don't understand about getting more FPs. When we went in March, the lines at the FP kiosks were 15 to 20 mins and the attractions left were things like TLS. PP, 7DMT, the mtns, Wishes, etc were all gone by 3 pm. The first time SIL and I went while the fams held spots for the Fantasyland parade, but basically the line for FP was as long as the rides that were left. Maybe it was time of the year but it seemed like either way you were waiting in line so why bother with additional FPs.

Did you actually wait that long or did you just assume that the wait was that long due to the number of people in line? Once we were in the fastpass line in fantasyland and the line looked pretty long. The guy in front of - after waiting all of about 30 seconds - said "I don't have 20 minutes to waste on this." and stomped off. We were through the line and completely finished in less than 5 minutes.

We have never waited more than 5 minutes at a fastpass kiosk.

Good point. I'm that guy. Last time we were there I assumed it was long and took off. I never actually waited. This is good advice. Loving this post and all the tips!

I think a lot of times the FP kiosk lines look worse than they are because an entire family will wait in the line but in reality it's only one "person" in front of you. When we were there in June, we never waited more than about 5 minutes (usually less) though I will admit that just looking at the lines we thought they'd be a much longer wait. And some kiosks are busier than others -- there were times that we could just walk up to a kiosk with no wait. I really wish they would just have 1 line per location and when you got to the front of the line you just walk to the next available kiosk. I do think there are times that you can get behind a really slow/uninformed person and they take forever at the kiosk. We did have that happen once, but we jumped to a different line and even though we had to wait for 2 separate groups in front of us, we were still finished before the person we had originally been behind.

In my experience, many of the kiosk stations do this already.

I'm with the others -- even when the lines have looked long, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes.

That's good to hear --they must have changed them since we were there in June because we used the kiosks at all 4 parks and only DHS had them set up like that. We lucked out at AK because we actually saw a CM with an iPad near the kiosk area and he took care of everything for us. The kiosks in MK by Stitch's Great Escape were always busy -- usually 4-5 people deep at each kiosk.

Yes. We waited and took the TLSW FPs. But it was midday in March at the kiosks near Jungle Cruise. We never tried anywhere else after that. Wait was not worth the ride we were able to get. But maybe ours was unsusally long. We were talking with a woman in front of us who was just making her family's allotment of FPs. She hadn't heard about them before. Maybe if there were several people like her in line at that time it was longer than usual (it was one line for all kiosks so we weren't waiting on her specifically).

If you're remotely near the front of the park there are two kiosks in Town Hall that NEVER had a line through all 3 weeks we were in the parks. I would just sneak in the side door of Town Hall and book our additional FP+s. We waited in lines at virtually all the other kiosk locations and I think the longest I ever waited was 5 minutes and that was for the machines in Frontierland with probably 20 people in front of me in line.
