Are you only allowed Soarin' or Test Track and EPCOT???? I are heading down in a month and when I went to do FP for EPCOT I could not select both??

Is this normal?? IF yes - why??

Thanks!!

I have a FP+ for both Soarin and Test Track the last week of November. These are both on the same day (our Epcot day)

It's "normal" now. They changed it about a week ago such that you can only book one headliner per day. See here from Kenny the Pirate

Yes it's normal. Disney introduced a tiered system of FP+.

It's hard to know what this really means.

Does it mean that will be the practice during peak periods for certain parks?

Is it a policy that will apply to ALL FP+ reservations...or only to those made late in the game, or same-day? I can see a rationale for the latter.

If it's going to be an across-the-board restriction, it's going to really stink. We made our FP+ reservations prior to this, so I hope they stick. If they don't, we will be unhappy.

I personally doubt Disney will intentionally make it difficult to spend money at WDW.

Boy I guess we made it in just in time I booked ours about 10 dats ago and was able to book both Soarin and Test Track for the same day....smj

I really hope this is just a temporary situation. If not, it's a reason to want to go back to the paper FPs-no one told you which you could get, and if you could get more than one for the same attraction in a day-great! I'm so glad that a few weeks ago, I was able to get both TT and Soarin. Besides those two, I honestly don't know what else is really important.

Disney has nothing to gain from making things difficult for visitors. My guess is that Disney is experimenting with different ways to control crowds at different times of year. In the end, they'll determine whether seasonal variations help and settle on whatever rules give the most people the most flexibility.

I was told that this is only in place at Epcot because there are few "headliners". Everyone was choosing Soarin' and Test Track (plus, usually, either Mission Space or Maelstrom) that those were running out much faster than the headliners in the other parks.

For right now this is the way it is and we have to live with it. They may change it again during testing. They may leave it in place for busy times and remove the tiers during slower times. Nobody knows. We will have to wait and see what the final product is.

I saw on Tim's site this morning that Hollywood Studios has also limited FP's at headliners to 1.

What do you bet that there will soon be a way to get more FP's?? Like with a Deluxe Dining Plan, or concierge-level room, or something.

I am really uncomfortable with the direction of things with the new Magic Bands...

I just read an article that the tiered system is going to be tested @ DHS, too. We did FP+ in October & it was not tiered for any of the parks. Now, it is tiered for Epcot (soon DHS) & the site requests you to put your selection in order by preference.

It means that in 40 years we've come full circle, and Disney has reintroduced E ticket rides.

Except the ticket books always gave more E tickets than A or B's. At that time Disney assumed that people would like to do more of those than others. Now they are encouraging away from the E's. :sad2:

Everything I've read has indicated otherwise. Now DHS is being added to the tiers and I think I may have read AK will be next.

Me too, and I just checked mine and they are all still there. I'm sure not changing a thing!

For our October trip there was a day when we wanted to ride Soarin' but we didn't have time to do other rides that day. However, the system makes you choose three attractions and when I didn't, it chose two others for me and one of them was Test Track. I didn't ask for Test Track and I didn't want it but it gave it to me anyway. No wonder they are running out of fast passes for "headliners" -- they are forcing them on people who didn't even ask for them!
