can anyone shed light on where these areas will be during our trip? August 22 to 28. Will they be moved at MK?

And that spot is???? Last year we watched the parade from the fp area in the hub, I know they are renovating, but have they moved the area? I though I heard the spot was now being moved closer to the other end of Main Street.

I like the wishes viewing spot, but the parade viewing being moved to the flag area kinda blows. And safe to say the parade still starts in frontier land? I really want the parade fp so we don't have to arrive an hour and a half before parade to get viewing in Main Street, but I think we might rather just get our usual spot in frontier land.

1. As far as anyone knows, the current FP+ flagpole area (Town Square) is only temporary. (Could remain there, but it may move back to the Hub after that area is finished.)

2. There is more than one "parade."
Festival of Fantasy ("3 O'Clock Parade") starts in Frontierland.
Main St. Electrical Parade starts on Main Street very near the current Town Square viewing area.

A look at the MK Parade Route-

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears. (But, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before Wishes fireworks.)

Will move back late this year (supposedly - things can change though)

In March it was down by the entrance. Last summer we had a spot right in front of the castle.

Here' s a look at the
OLD, FORMER, NOT IN SERVICE AT THIS TIME
MK parade viewing area.

It may (or many not) become the FP parade viewing site again after the Hub construction is complete.
But, it is NOT IN SERVICE AT THIS TIME.

The Parade location as shown above was just awesome..........best part was you were done by 3:30 or so.........since its early in route. Only issue is theres no shade in that location.........it got real hot! Interested to watch from the new location.

Since the view of the parade in Frontier Land is the same exact parade you get on Main St there is little need to FP the parade. Same can be said for anywhere you opt to watch the parade. You'll get the same views anywhere along the route.

Same can not be said for Wishes since the views from the FP area are some of the best there are and they are limited. Any other angle isn't the same. If that makes sense. We've found the FP for Wishes worthwhile.

We did FP+ for Wishes & watched the MSEP from there. Since we had seen the parade before & viewing was good from our Wishes FP spot, we cancelled our MSEP FP+ that we had made for another night. If you've never seen MSEP, then you might want to keep the FP for it.

I disagree about the need for parade viewing fp. The real need would be to not have to get to whatever spot we want 1 hour early. Last year we used a fp for the hub parade viewing walked up 5 minutes for parade and not only had unobstructed view of the parade coming out of Liberty Square, but had so much room that I literally stretched out on the ground as there was no one else on that side of the viewing area. My issue with Wishes fp is that if you get that fp you are limited to only your 3 initial fp for the day as you cant get more until after initial 3 are used. In effect causing us to wait in more lines throughout the day just to secure a marginally better view of fireworks. We have watched Wishes from almost every angle imaginable and prefer to sit either on the bridge to Tomorrowland, or the train station. I look forward to sitting for a bit before wishes, as we tend to commando the parks.
