Correct. You could still select 3 FP's for that park in advance...if you want to hop after the first just cancel the other FP's. If you know you're going to be hopping for sure then go ahead with just 1 FP in advance.

Just be aware of the risk, especially at higher crowd levels. If it’s 10am and you want to go book 2 afternoon/evening FPs at Magic Kingdom, you’re probably fine. But if it’s 10am on a high crowd day and you were hoping to book evening fast passes at DHS... expect that everything will already be gone.
Especially if you have a large party. (For 1-2 people, you can usually find good fast passes if you refresh your app often enough)

I believe you could also book your first FP for the first park, and book the other two for the second park as well. Just make sure to leave yourself enough time to get from the first to the second park.

You can't do that at 60/30 days out. The FP+ pre-booking has to all be at one park. You only get FP at a 2nd park on the day of.

That might work but I don’t really see the advantage... why not get 3 FPs and THEN get later FPs? You get unlimited FPs (one at a time) after the original 3 as long as something’s available so you might as well book 3 ahead of time in one park and get it guaranteed ahead of time

We've done it when hopping especially when doing 4 parks in a day. So we could rope drop AK, do EE a couple of times, FP FOP, then add SDD and head over to HS. Or add SDD and another ride at the 3rd park. The earlier I'm the day you look the easier it is to find options. It can also help to use drop times when trying to add harder to get FP's.

Exactly. We did a rotr morning and used 1fp in studios then rope dropped epcot and did 2 there. Then we used 2 more in epcot, 3 more in studios, 4 in ak. All the same day. Now we didnt precook any 60 or 30 out. We made the one for studios on the way over morning of

You can, but there may not be much left at another park.
During slow times, this has worked well for us if we were to park hop.

Had one rnrc booked as we were walking in to studios and then booked two more for epcot day of (imagination as a burner and soarin) as we walked over for epcot rd and then just grabbed single ones the rest of the day. Tt was down but all same day fps. Rnrc, tot, sdd, tsm, imagination(burner) ,land,soarin, spaceship earth, fop,navi, everest,and dinosaur. Rd smugglers at studios and fea at epcot, bg 7 for rotr. Then we did mk after hours. We time out our fp usage to work with drop times and break tiers as quickly as possible. Even if we have to use burners.
