You're not going at a particularly busy time of year, so as long as you don't mind a wait, you'll be able to hit 7DMT. We hit it during Wishes in June and it was essentially a walk-on. We then rode it several days later, right around "park closing". We waited about an hour, but it was our last night in WDW, so we didn't really care.
Awwww yay! Thanks everyone! I'm just so exhausted today. I'm definitely someone who needs their sleep so the very idea that I would need to stay up to midnight for a whole week was terrifying me.
At 30 days out I don't think you need to set your alarm. The only impossible reservations will be mine train and Anna/Elsa which will be hard to get anyways. I missed my 60 day opening by 1 day and have not been able to get Anna/Elsa and snagged 1 mine train fp. We leave tomorrow and I've been checking for 60 days. All the others I've been able to change and had no problems getting.
I don't know what they close during that, to be honest.
You could always hit it at rope drop, too. This didn't work out for us, since the line was already HUGE by the time we got back there...but again, June vs. October.
Just got back. We decided Sunday night to go Tuesday. I did our fast passes Monday night. Everything was available but the hot tickets as mentioned above. We got one full day ticket and went to just the Halloween party the first day and ended up with two FP for that. During the party we rode the mine train twice in 40 minutes during the fireworks. The Princess wait was 20 minutes. We were on site but it was pretty much the same availability as off site.
By the way, if you plan on going to the party buy your tickets now. They all seem to be selling out.

We have 4 days of tickets, but it will only let me access the 25th of October. Well, it's bittersweet to hear it really won't matter because most will be gone anyways but it is as it is. Still super excited to go. I guess I'll set mine tomorrow when I wake up for work. Not worried about A&E because we are not interested in character meets anyways for the most part, and I'll just try to ride 7DMT first thing if possible Thanks all
Don't stress. It's going to be ok. Honestly, I would only do the FPs at midnight for the most popular attractions - like A&E and 7DMT. Those are probably the hardest Fps to get right now. besides that, you would probably be able to get the others, maybe just not at the most convenient times. Just try your best, no matter what you will have a magical trip. Best of luck!
