FP+ is amazing

Can you guess the blatantly obvious reply to that?

Good grief, its a typo, I have a rescue dog I am fostering as I type so I was distracted. You seriously need to take a chill pill. I guess it just was not in your good nature, to ask if that was a typo, was it.

The fact that I even have to point out which comments made fun of, poke at, discredited, ridiculed the OP's awesome comment is telling in itself. It was obvious to many others, sadly not to those that did it.

Some see things that aren't there. Since you suggested some for me, maybe some meds for you may also be appropriate. Done with you, there is no actual reasoning to be found.

And this is why I think you like FP+. It is a common theme among those who do. This is not a criticism, dig, or a put-down--merely an observation.

We'll just for the record, when my 60 day mark comes in early April, I intend on using your guide to help make my FP+ choices. I'm not aware of any other sources like it, so I figured why not :confused3. "At least the guys being proactive, even if he doesn't like the new deal."

For some people, based on different tolerance levels for waiting in lines, at certain times of the year, I'd say this is definitely the case. At least for us it is. We'd rather leave the park than wait in a line more than 20 minutes. Everyone has a different threshold.

I'd say our threshold is more like 45 minutes, but that has to be for a pretty good ride. I wouldn't wait that long for say IASW or Teacups, but I would for SM or Splash Mtn. But you're absolutely right, people have different thresholds for various reasons.

Those who adore FP+, don't care about rides. Disney has spent $$$$$$$$$$+ to make these guests love FP+? Somehow, I don't think, this is was the plan.

It fits. ::yes::

FP+ does work if rides aren't that important to you. I know I'm not the only one who sees the irony in this.

I want to help everyone make the most of the system for them. I am careful to keep my opinions of it out of that thread. ;)

Have a great time!

Why am I not surprised? Yet another FP+ hater who can't get it in her skull that riding kiddie rides is not every WDW guests biggest priority. Sorry I can't get all revved up about FP+ like you. Like many Disers and DVCer's I go to WDW every year and have been on all the rides a million times. While there are many rides I love for the adventure, romance, and nostalgia, I really couldn't care less if I miss a ride. Quite honestly you guys make it sound like unless you have a FP, you can't ride at all. But whatever...you go girl :cheer2:

Why did they even build any attractions then?

Wow, 12 pages of replies in two days. We were at the Magic Kingdom today watching the new parade. Again, fastpass system worked perfectly, winnie the pooh, then found a spot for the parade, my wife and son rode barnstormer while my daughter and I rode dumbo, then we all rode speedway together. With the old system I do not think we could have done what we did the time we did it with the old system.

Sorry you guys dont like our ride selections and we laugh sometimes when the fastpass takes longer than the standyby line. I have said it before, I would like the option of skipping the tier 1 rides at epcot since we cannot usually ride them with our kids.

Glad you had a good day. The dragon looked cool. Is there no way to change your FP+ selections to all tier two rides once you have them selected?

I remember when my kids were young we could knock out MK in a couple of hours. When they got big enough for the big rides, that's when we had to get FP. Did you use FP+ for the speedway? How was SB compared to FP+ line. We used a FP+ in October for it and didn't see an advantage- wondering if it is better now?

Thanks all to the comparisons to Robo. Although my 13,000+ posts over nearly 10 years is what he seems to log every year! I think he is over 70,000 now. Does the DIS post count work like an old car odometer where you go back to zero after hitting 100,000?

The dragon was cool, I was not expecting it to breathe fire and from the crowds reaction I was not alone. So that made it cool to see it so unexpectedly instead of seeing it after I knew what was going to happen. I have not tried to change our fp selections to all tier 2. Yes, speedway was a fastpass, standby said 30 minutes which i would believe, and we nearly walked right on.

Like I have posted, sure there are tweaks than can be made to the system, but I do not get why everyone thinks they deserve to not wait in line. It may be strange, but some of the experience of the ride is waiting in the line. Disney seems to has put a bunch of work into entertainment while waiting, Dumbo has a playground thing where the kids can play and they page you when it is your turn to get in line. Pooh has little games and wall of digital hunny to write on. But everyone is in such a hurry we miss a bunch of the little things that make the parks. I saw a few threads about the magic being gone, maybe the magic is still there, but we are too busy looking at phones and rushing for fastpasses or trying to get an edge. The way I look at Disney is as a separate world and I think they do an amazing job of that, walk in, relax, see the sights, experience the journey through the park.

We are lucky that on a whim we can run to the parks for an hour or two so this may not be possible for everyone, but I would encourage everyone on your next visit to leave your phone in the car, or the hotel room, or put it on airplane mode, just for one day of your trip, or even half a day of the trip. Sure you may not ride everything that day, but I would bet that at the end of that day you would not ask if there was still some magic life at Disney World.

The OP returns! It appears we (I) can put part of my previous post to rest.

I am glad FP+ is working for you!

You have no idea just how much you have helped us behind the scenes on our trips to DLR. I don't always say it, so I will say it here...thank you for all you do. You have a wealth of knowledge (just like Robo).

Just pray this FP+ doesn't end up on your side of they country. ;)
