Hello! We are a family of four (DS7, DS3) and can make rope drop. Do you recommend that I move our fast passes to the afternoon? I keep reading that the parks aren't that busy in the morning, so I'm wondering if I should move them to later in the day. We will bring a stroller, and DS3 will nap in there. We may leave MK for a break the day that we are going on a "red" day to see Wishes, but not the other parks. We have experience in staying in the parks all day with stroller naps, and that works best for us. We are hitting the parks 12/13-12/18. Thank you!

For our upcoming trip we are making use of rope drop and saving our FP+ for the afternoon at other parks. I hope we will be able to get enough done without FP and have them available when the parks fill. It seems like the best of both worlds if you can make rope drop.

I usually start my fastpasses around 10:30-11:30, that way I can get walk on rides early and then start the fastpasses. Then when those are done, you can go to the kiosk for the 4th and after.

I also think it's best to plan the first one for around 11:00.

We tend to use the FP+ in late morning, and usually make rope drop. For our DS8, when he was at the age of your kids (especially DS3), he would have been miserable to try to make rope drop, and then still be in the parks through the afternoon. I think RD is not too busy until about 10:30 or 11:00, but it then really picks up. Just my two cents.

We always make rope drop then eat an early lunch at 11 before the counter service places get swamped. We start fast passes close to noon. Seems to work for us.

It depends on the plan..........if you're doing RD then you "could" schedule FP's in the afternoon. But that depends on your entire plan. You have younglings..............do you go back to the resort for nap? Is it a MK resort? At RD you could do Peter Pan first.......then spread things out until lunch, you could then do nap time at the resort...........you could have FP's in the later afternoon and then do dinner in the MK.

There are many options. It depends on how your day will be structured and that's important when you have younglings..........or older folks like me...........who both need naps :)

I agree with previous posters. If your hitting rope drop your going to be able to walk on almost anything within the first hour or two of park opening with the exception of 7DMT and Peter Pan. My wife and I usually will hit RD at any given park and walk on the headliners have lunch around 12-2 and head to our resort for a rest and then go to a different park later in the day where we booked fast passes knowing it will be at its highest wait times. Considering we don't have any kids and don't stay in the same park your plan should still work relatively the same way. So id say book them for after whenever you plan on taking your lunch break or first nap break because MK tends to fill up quickly around 11ish.

Good luck and have fun!
