We like to do a lot of hopping on our trips... I'm wondering if I can book three FP+ in one park and book more at anther park if we don't use all three. For instance, I'd like to book an early safari and then ride EE. Then leave the park and head somewhere else. If we just let the other FP expire, can we book something later in the day at another park? Or do we have to actually use all three before we can hop?

Can we book the extra FP with our phone or do we have to do it in person at the park?

all 3 for the first park must be used or must expire before you can get another FP. As of right now the 4th FP (and beyond) must be booked at a kiosk in the actual park you are using them in (book one , use it go to a kiosk, book another one and so forth). Then once booked you can make changes via the app.

But you can only change the time and/or experience of selections 4 and after, you can't change the park.

Yes you can. The first 3 have to be in one park and either used or expired. Then you can go to another park and get a 4th (and so on) FP at the kiosk. Once booked via the kiosk, you can make changes on your phone. For a 5th FP, again you would have to go to a kiosk and then make changes on your phone.

We like to do a lot of hopping each day as well - certainly two parks a day and many times three.

While you can change parks and get additional FP's after your first three have been used or expire, it may not make sense.

By the time you get to one of the limited number of kiosk locations available, make your selection, and get to that attraction, you will most likely find that you spent more time doing that than you would have just standing in the standby line. This is because by the time you use your first three and change parks, there are likely to be very few choices left for your 4th and beyond FP's and most if not all of the choices are for attractions that only have a 10-20 minute wait anyway. Or worse, you find yourself walking side by side in the FP queue with someone in the SB queue and getting on or in at the same time and wonder why you needed an FP to begin with.

That was our experience every day last week; we'll see if those conditions change this next upcoming week under supposedly less crowded conditions,

We are major Hoppers also. We make our 3 FP+ for our afternoon/evening park headliners. Then we rope drop our first park, get the headliners and whatever else we can done so that afternoon/evening we have he headliners set up for another park. The biggest problem is EPCOT and DHS tiering. You have to pick Soarin' or Test Track at EPCOT and by the afternoon the stand by lines are usually longer that we want to wait. Same with TSMM and RnRC at DHS. Although TT and RnRC have single rider lines that can cut down on the wait times. Using the kiosks later in the day may be able to save you some wait time at non-headliner attractions. Thais is the strategy that works for us. YMMV. Good luck and have fun!!

This is basically what we do as well - RD for the morning park and have FP arranged for the afternoon park.

Main difference is in our case (we usually do longer stays around 9 /10 days) - I make sure we have Epcot and DHS at least 2 mornings each so we can RD those parks and not fuss with the tiering. It is much easier to get extra FP at MK although as Travis mentioned still a pain to track down a kiosk - stand in line etch
