Since we will be Hopping Between Epcot & HS .. are the FP (3) per Park or for the day only & once you use up all FP can get a 4 th .Any Hints Welcome .

Your 1st 3 have to be booked for the same park. After those are used, you can book a 4th for a different park.

Some choose to book their 1st 3 in their 2nd park (and just standby in a rope drop park)

Your comment can be a little ambiguous. When taking about booking one or two fastpasses, you don't explain what happens to the rest. They can't be booked in a different park. All of the initial fastpasses must be booked in the same park.
And that's why the link is there because @marciemi has it explained in steps and in photos which she does for a number of threads and sites.

The FP FAQ Addendum has tips for park hopping. You can book 1, 2, or 3 FPs for your first park:

Thank you for adding that link! I was under the impression that I had to have 3 FP in the same park either used or expired before I can book a 4th. According to the info in the link, I can have only one FP booked at a park, and then as soon as it is scanned I can book another one for a different park. That makes so much more sense for hoppers!

Can someone confirm that the following plan will work? We want to do all 4 parks in one day. I currently have a 9:15 am NRJ FP scheduled at AK. As soon as we scan our bands, I can use my app and book a FP for the next park as long as it is not a tier 1 ride. I DO NOT need to have the first 3 rides all in AK, right?

After your NRJ FP is scanned you can book a Tier 1 FP even if it is for another park. You just cannot book another Tier 1 for AK without using the initial 3 FP.
So you can book TT at Epcot. When the TT FP is scanned, you can book RnR for HS if you want. But you cannot book Soarin as your third FP.

It can be for a tier 1 ride.

I booked at TT FP, and that was my only prebooked one for that day. As soon as I scanned in that morning, I booked one for RnR and ToT.

:thanks:This is great news and will make our 4-in-1 so much easier. As much time as I've spent here I cannot believe I had this wrong! :o

back in May, our split day was Epcot & then DHS...
I booked 9:00 Nemo & 11:30 FEA (tier 1) ahead of time. As soon as I rode Nemo, I booked Toy Story Mania (tier 1). I did not have to use my 1st tier 1 before booking the next tier 1/different park.
