FP HELP before MVMCP - We leave Monday!

first trip in 12 yrs with adult kids (17, 18, 21, 24). should i just get FP for whatever I can get between 330 - 6pm on the night of the MVMCP? (We can get in at 4pm the night of the party) The 2 rides we want (most popular ones: 7 drawfs, Thunder Mountain Roller Coaster, PPan) are not available...so should i just use the FP on other rides? or can i keep trying? is it wise to wait?
