FP+ for Passholders

I only stayed for 5 nights with an AP, so I can't say for sure. However, I have seen several posts from people saying they were staying for > 7 days at a Disney resort, but they were still only allowed to book 7 days of FP+ because the ticket linked to their account was an AP.

We just did our FP+ ressies last night at midnight. We are AP holders staying on property, and we were able to reserve all 8 days of our stay.

OP, were you offered this opportunity right at the turnstiles? Taking DBF and a friend, who are also AP holders, this weekend. I already have an MB from a quick trip with my mom, so I'm hoping they get to have MBs soon so we can pre-plan...

Yes. We scanned our cards at then entrance and a CM approached us asking if we'd be interested in testing. I said we weren't resort guests and that we were just AP holders. He said that's what they wanted. He took us over to a couple other people that were taking down our pass numbers and they gave us instructions that we could book up to 60 days in advance starting today and that we just had to promise to use it before Feb 9 and do a survey afterward.

I logged into my account today to customize and order the bands. We don't have to wait for the bands to come before we start using FP+ and were told we had the option to use the bands or cards at the park moving forward. It is a rolling 7 days and if we booked past it, the system would automatically start deleting the older reservations.

The one weird part is my husband and I have separate Disney Internet accounts. He and I had to do a friends and family request with one another to book FP+ for each other. The only downside I saw was that our 7 year old is tied to my account and since he's under 13, only I can make his FP reservations. So my husband has to use my account to book FPs for our son. Not a big deal, but it was a little annoying.

They said we'd still need our cards to get our AP discounts...which is weird.

On your husbands MDE account, go to the Family & Friends list. Select 'Add a Guest' and then click on the 'Invite Through a Mutual Friend' tab. Select your name from the drop list and then select your son and then click on 'Done'. A request will be sent from your husbands MDE account to your MDE account to approve the friend request. Once accepted, either MDE account can make FP+ selections for your son.

If using the MDE mobile app, once you touch 'Add New Guest', there will be a pop-up that will allow you to use the 'Through a Mutual Friend' option.

Thank you ! That worked!! Much better!

Stipulating this is very new, and that I am having trouble wrapping my mind around it, for the 7 days of FP+, are you able to "reload" if you use one day's worth?

Example: you are offsite, with AP. You plan 7 days in a row of FP+. Once day one ends (and now you have only 6 days of FP+ planned) are you able to add a 7th day of FP+?

Yes. :) We have done this.

Oh, this actually makes me very happy. I prefer to keep using the card. I have a wristlet with a clear front that I stick the card in, and I just hold that up to the RFID scanner. Works perfectly every time.
