FP for new rides

I know I read about this a hundred times on here re: Pandora/new Fantasyland and I can't find the answer I'm looking for by searching and also can't remember.

Just out of curiosity...
1. how far in advance before the new lands' openings did they start booking FP for the rides? Was it shortly after they announced the lands' official specific opening dates?

2. Did the FP just start appearing? No one knew when they would be released? Totally blanking here.

We are now planning to be down for Memorial Day weekend and I'm guessing there's a slight chance Toy Story Land could possibly open that weekend. Which I probably will avoid like the plague that trip unless we can get FP.

I think they just appeared, and I agree- I would be avoiding Toy Story Land that close to (potential) opening without FP.

For Pandora, the date FPs would be in the system was announced a couple of weeks in advance. It's all documented in the main Pandora thread.

@rteetz posted a reminder notice the day before guests could book at 7:00a ET. Those who booked when the FP window opened a few minutes before 7 benefited from a glitch and booked FPs for both Pandora rides.
