FP+ for new rides?

Hi guys,

Our trip is May 10-20. As of now, the new Frozen expansion is set to open in early May, hopefully before we get there. What I am wondering is how we would go about getting FP+ for the ride and Anna and Elsa M&G?
We will be making FP+ reservations 60 days out (around mid-March) and I really want DD to get to see Anna and Elsa (okay... I wanna see them too :o). So if, at 60 days, I make a reservation at Princess Fairytale Hall and then they move to EPCOT before we arrive... what happens to my reservation?? Will I have a chance to make a new one at EPCOT or will it just be sprung on everyone last minute and i'll be lucky to snag one? Same goes for the ride... will I just have to be on alert for the first second reservations become available?
Same with Soarin'!! I'm wishin' hopin' prayin' it opens early, though I know it's a long shot... (on our last trip, Haunted Mansion opened more than a week early and we got to ride it even though we thought we wouldn't be able to!)

I assume I will just have to be on the look out every day for reservations to open up for these things??

I hope all that makes sense!!

Thanks :flower1:

I think you'll just have to be on the lookout. But if Ana and Elsa fp's are available at MK at 60 days out, then book it. We'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

I doubt that they'll make FPs available until they have a firm opening date. I couldn't even hazard a guess as to how they'll deal with Anna and Elsa moving.

Just don't get hung up on the 60 day thing. They'll release them when they are 100% sure they have a firm date. That might be 30 days out. It might be a week out. There is no "rule".

Also, just be aware that Disney has no qualms about cancelling existing fastpasses when needed. So if you find them available for the MK, that's a good sign, but not a guarantee, that they will indeed be there 60 days later.

Also be aware that there is a lot of speculation (and I think a good possibility) that both the ride AND the M&G will be Tier 1, meaning you'll have to choose. No one knows for sure yet, but given the frenzy it only makes sense they'd do it that way.

i wonder if this will happen because then there will be so many tier ones that are such big priorities to people. You basically have to have 2-3 Epcot days unless you absolutely can guarantee you'll be there at rope drop. Or you will have multiple super long waits.

If they felt the Tier system wasn't working, they wouldn't do it. They could also drop one or more of the Tier 1s to Tier 2 in order to balance things.

And perhaps multiple days in EPCOT is exactly what they want. There is certainly enough there.

I'd bet my lottery winnings tonight they will make both new Frozen attractions tier one. Otherwise they run the risk they will fill up way too fast and the new things will be inaccessible to so many guests.

If anything they might move Soarin to Tier 2 after the 3rd theater comes on board. But with a new film everyone will need to see, I doubt it.

I don't think Frozen ride and M&G are going to open until late May/early June, due to delays.

I'm going in July and I'm already nervous about FPs. I would hope that they'd move any booked A+E FPs to Epcot, but more likely they will either cancel them or turn them into a FP for whoever replaces A+E (Aurora & Snow, I think). I don't know if it's worth trying to book it.

Who knows when they'll re-open FPs for closed rides, like Soarin (I think BTMR is also being rehabbed).

I have several EPCOT days scheduled so I am not too worried about the possible tiers; I am just worried about being in class or something one day and coming home to find out the fastpasses opened up (of course with no announcement beforehand) and I miss my chance. :guilty:

Living with the Land could probably be moved to Tier 2 once Soarin' is back. I'd guess that TT, Soarin', A&E, Frozen Ride and Illuminations will be the Tier 1. Maybe Illuminations will go to Tier 2 as well.
