Hi what time of year are you going down we never fast pass the parade and find our spot about 30mins before. Though we don't watch it on Main Street. We watch the parade between the river boat and splash if that makes sense.

If you arrive within the specified FP+ window, you will have a spot.

It may or may not be on the curb, but you WILL be able to easily see the parade.

The Town Square viewing area is in direct sunlight at 3:30PM (about the time the front of the parade reaches the area) so be prepared for that.

We had a FoF FP+, but chose to view from another (non-reserved) spot that offered shade from the hot afternoon sun.

it gets you what some call the best areas to view the parade ensuring that you will get a good view if you've never seen fantasy parade defiantly worth considering!

For us- well basically me- it is worth it. DH and DD are not big parade fans, but I really like the parades. DH and DD despise having to stake out a spot well in advance, and parking themselves somewhere 30 minutes to an hour before a parade for a front row spot is not going to happen. Historically, we have watched from Frontierland because you can get there later, but we still have had issues if we were not early enough that it caused DD and DH to whine. With FP+ for the afternoon parade we were able to go in 15 minutes ahead of time, get a great front row spot and really enjoy the parade. Based on the PP post, I guess it has moved to Town Square because of the hub construction? The times we have done it, it was in front of the castle. The only problem with the castle area is that like the PP poster said with Town Square, the sun is beating down that time of day and reflecting off the concrete and it can be really hot...which still causes DH and DD to whine a little until the parade starts.
