FP+ for child under 3 off site

From reading others posts, I know if we stay onsite that our grandson (18 months) would get a magic band to be able to make FP+ reservations. If we decide to stay the whole time off site, I know that we will be able to make our FP+ reservations on the app but what about for him? I know he will be able to ride a good many rides. Will they just not require him to have a FP or is there some way to make his reservations when we make ours?

No ticket, no FP+. Its doesn't matter if you are onsite or off. Little guys don't need FP. They just go on with an adult.

The magic bands for little ones don't really do anything. Under 3's don't need tickets, therefore FPs are not required. As long as he meets the height requirement, he can go with you in the FP line. Have fun!

His magic band won't really do much at this point, and it's not even really necessary that he wears it. Kids under 3 don't have tickets, therefore don't need to (and can't) make FP+ reservations. They just tag along with their group assuming there's no height limits.

So you know, if you decide to stay offsite you possibly will be able to make your FP+ reservations on the app, but that's not rolled out yet to offsite guests. No telling when it will happen. As of this moment, unless you are selected for testing you must make your FP+ selections in the park at a kiosk if you are an offsite guest. If your trip is far enough away it's likely that could change.

We are going in June. My MDE app tells me how many days I have to make my reservations. Is that just because we are AP holders? Will it not let my daughter and her husband make their FP+ reservations ahead of time too? They will have regular 7 day passes. They have not purchased them yet.

You need to have tickets linked in order to make FP+ reservations. Once they purchase the passes and link them they will be able to book too.

The OP mentioned them being offsite - so I don't think MDE will work for them?

He would not get FP+ picks even being onsite. FP+ is assigned with your theme park ticket purchase! We have a DS2 on our trip. He shows in our MDE and gets a band (nothing more than a souvenier) but he does not get FP+ picks, nor DDP points.
