I have a short 3 night (4 park days) trip the first week in November (2 adults). My fp day was Saturday and things did not go well which I was expecting due to short trip. FoP is really my only priority as we will prob RD MK and DHS (not concerned about MFSR and to waste fp on basically one tier 1 isn’t worth it). No FoP...but instead of sticking to a plan I ended up with safari and Everest booked every day in hopes that I can pick up FoP one day and then switch the other days around. Would you drop those for the time being to allow more open slots for FoP or will it still show up and give me option to book and then drop the other that conflicts? Would you pick up NRJ and try to modify instead of leaving slot open for now? Would you build your plan around RD FoP instead of other parks and rearrange other FPs instead and then if FoP becomes available deal with shuffling then?

How do you feel about a nighttime ride. I'm not usually a "night" person at the parks, but I couldn't get a FP for FOP last year either and I ended up just going over about 30 minutes before park closing, hopping in line and waiting all of 30 minutes. It was the best thing I ever did. So much so, that I did it 3 times (I have hoppers). I could never get a FoP with the modifying.

You can keep trying that but don't drive yourself crazy.

FoP will show up (if it is going to) regardless of you having another FP booked. I would for certain check every day between now and then.

What I would do is make certain that your current FP selections are for 9:00 - 10:00, 10:00 - 11:00, and 11:00 - 12:00, or as close to that as you can get. I would also have the most popular ride be in the earliest slot.

If you do not get FoP before your park day, go to your first FP ride right at rope drop. As soon as you tap in, open up your 2nd FP in MDE and start trying to modify it to a new time. Use the refresh method (if you don't know what that is, learn now) and bump that up to the earliest time you can get. Repeat with your 3rd FP. When you leave your first ride, hopefully you will already be in the window for your 2nd which you have already bumped up. Again, as soon as you tap into FP attraction number 2, start trying to modify number 3 to the earliest time you can get. Now, as soon as you tap into ride 3, start searching for FoP. Take ANY time you get, then start trying to modify it to an earlier time. Be persistent, it almost always pays off.

I used this exact method for a party of 3 in August, and had no problem getting FoP for 2 of us several times over the course of 2 days in AK, and NRJ repeatedly for all 3 of us.

I’m not opposed to night time...my ideal plan was to RD another park then have FP lined up for late afternoon/evening at AK. So good to know end of night is definitely viable option. I do know how to refresh day if and have been checking a lot since Saturday to hopefully get before. Good to know that FoP will show up regardless.

My method can still work, even if you are in another park in the morning. In that scenario, I would pre book for the morning park, get through those as fast as possible, then work on FoP figuring that will be the hardest one to get. Use that, and immediately start looking for NRJ, which in my experience is generally a lot easier to get.

When we were there in August, I could find NRJ, and EE well into the afternoon with little to no trouble.
