Well, if they intend for patrons to reserve FPs 60 days out, that means that they will go live for a date at least 60 days after the date it is officially announced. Either that, or they are idiots.

Meh - no new information except that about APs. Still no idea whether or not patrons will be limited to only FPs reserved under FP+. If we can still get FPs as we wish while in the parks in addition to those reserved, this will be a huge "plus". If not, WDW drops way down my list of vacation destinations.

I wouldn't make assumptions about them being hard and fast about 60 days lead time. When BOG ADRs were opened last year I was well within my 180 day window. All that meant was more people were within 180 days and calling in at the same time to crash Disney's phone lines. When they're ready to go, they'll go.

That said though..... I bet you're safe with August dates.

But I thought this was the first we heard of the +10 benefit. I really think that's a pretty big deal. I could see the Mine Coaster really being hard to advance book outside of that +10, much like BOG is now.

And really, who wants to get up and call in or log on 7 to 10 days in a row to book all the ride spots for a trip that long?

I think there is some truth to the BOG/TSM issue.

Two reasons I think this is a valid point - it is possible that, depending on availability, you book your BOG (which lets face it, you get one, you are sticking to it), then you try to get your TSM ... but the only one you get conflicts with your BOG ressie, OR, simply conflicts with your park days.
-secondly, on a more general level, there are going to be a lot more of things that can not be done in combination with one another because of the scheduled nature of FP+. Adding an element that must be planned, and has restrictions will cause more conflicts with the already restricting elements at WDW.

Of course, you could solve the first problem with Park Hoppers, but other conflicts don't sound like they are going to be as easily resolved.

And of course some people can't afford the 240 or 300$ extra to add hoppers.



While this is certainly true, there is also a much higher expected usage rate/capacity of rides.

I think it is silly to automatically assume that you won't be able to get a fastpass for TSM any day you want, especially at 60 days out..this is not based on any facts...it is just to scare people.

My wife is not a WDW fan and is looking for a reason to kill the 2 week long trip. She does not like to vacation with a schedule. We never book ADRs in parks for this reason. This is exactly what she is looking for to end our trips to WDW - being forced to pick a park 70 days out would push her over the edge. She likes to decide each day after we get up.

I really hope that this is not live in August. It might be my last trip for a while.

This is exactly what she is looking for to end our trips to WDW - being forced to pick a park 70 days out would push her over the edge.

That very issue has a lot of people nervous.

Not that it matters, but it really isn't 70 days though. It's 60 days out, but on-site guests purportedly can then make 10 days worth of reservations.

Is that really true!?!? I must admit that would make me a tad cranky -- if I was a couple of weeks out from a trip and found out I needed to pounce on FP+. I'm already here every day stalking for the dessert party... that's one thing that bugs me.

Do we know if they have a "minimum notice"... like maybe not 60 days but 2 weeks, for e.g.? (the answer is probably we don't know...)

I'm actually looking forward to this in a twisted sort of way. The idea of being able to book my FP+ for the park I plan to hop to in the evening will allow my nights to be that much more productive.

I'm a rope drop gal, so honestly FPs are never *essential* for me in my first park unless I'm there during a holiday week since we can knock out the headliners by 10:30 or so with minimal lines.

But the thought of being able to hop to DHS for the evening and do TOT, TSMM and ST with no wait...

YES. Exactly this. DHS is an evening park to us, but so often FP are out. We never spend a full day there, ever. I hate having to rope-drop it just for TSM. We could do MK in the morning without fastpasses (not needed during certain times of year) and actually get to enjoy DHS for a change instead of feeling forced to spend the morning there.

This is going to be MUCH more flexibility for our family. For example, on park days where we stay for fireworks, it is a late night for the kids and rope-dropping the next day is miserable. This way we can plan our nights and not have to worry about rope dropping the next day.

I dare you to find one person who doesn't agree that day was an unadulterated mess. I never did even get the phone to RING. Didn't even get a chance to be placed on hold. Didn't even get an "All circuits are busy" message. Nothing. I was just thankful the friends we were traveling with got through. Lots of people were completely shut out.

On the up side, they were really great about getting word out on social media that ADRs were opening. When someone told me that post on facebook had over 33K likes, I knew I was in trouble.

This is the part I like best as well. We are RD, early EMH, and park hop people. DH and I like to get evening ADRs - just the two of us - at Epcot or DHS after a day in the parks with the kids. This would let us book Soarin' and TSMM to do in the evening... rides we never do at that time now.

Eesh - that must have been a mess - I missed that. Good to hear they got the word out on social media, though... I follow the news on Twitter so I'm on there every day... and since I follow myriad Disney accounts as well, hopefully I'll have it covered if they share this news there in a timely way as well!

But I'm not holding my breath for our Sept/Oct trip... ...

Sounds like a lot of people are wanting those evening fast passes.

At California Adventure, it takes about one and half to two hours before all the fast passes are given out for an entire day for Radiator Springs Racers.

I wonder how long it will take for the online evening fastpasses to be gone for popular rides at WDW once the system is implemented.

Hi - Just want to ask, the 60 days + 10, means if we go apr 26, we can book feb 26 (or whatever 60 days beforehand is), but the 10+ days, means once we book Apr 26, we can only book apr 27, 28, 29, 30, may1, 2, 3,4 and 5th?

also, we may be better off doing FP regular if it is still around - is that the general consensus? This is our first trip, and I like to plan, I'm using toutingplans.com, but wonder if we really will get in the rides predicted? And that is with FP regular, which looked good to me. Who really benefits fr FP+ n(or is it not that great a deal?)
