FP+ Booking- Room Only with Expedia and Tickets Purchase AAA

I have a WL Spring Room Discount special that we are going to cancel as we decided to save some $$$ and opted for POR for our stay instead....same dates.

We just wanted a GV (no RR) and surprisingly, Expedia had discounted room rates for a plain GV room for our dates, but Disney only had RR River View (we prefer Bayou). So, we booked through Expedia (saving $450 over paying rack rates via Disney) and got the booking ID to successfully link to our MDX account. We also had our tickets linked to MDX previously as we purchased them separately at a discounted rate through AAA.

Just a little nervous that cancelling our WL room will somehow wipe out our existing FP+ reservations even though I can clearly see that the room w/ same travel dates booked through Expedia AND our tickets purchased through AAA are linked as well. I wouldn't think that cancelling the WL room only would wipe out the FP+ selections given that our Expedia Ressie and tickets are linked....but not sure....

Anyone have any experience with this?

Looks like it worked! The booking ID that Expedia gave me to link to POR just had fewer #s in the reservation... Cancelled WL, kept POR and most importantly...kept my FP+ reservations that I worked so hard to secure
