FP - book SDMT or FEA first

Squeezing a quick visit to WDW the first week of January. Most likely 1 MK day then 1 Epcot day.

The FP we want the most are SDMT and FEA. When my 60 day opens, which one should I try for first?

I expect to be shut out at 60+1 and 60+2 days because it’ll still be busy there that week with lingering holiday crowds, but just trying to figure out the best strategy for the best FP chance

You should have no problem getting FEA.

You would be very lucky to get SDMT. Might as well try this one first, though.

Lots of selections were available for days after my 60 day window opened for FEA. Get 7DMT first. Just checked - FEA is available from 9:20 am to 9:30 pm and I am going in 3 weeks. I counted 22 different times available. Have fun!

You should be able to get either, but if I had to pick one to get first, it would be 7DMT.

I would book SDMT first. FEA is much, much easier to get.

I think you will get both. If not, keep checking. I just made some changes to my FP this morning for a trip in a few weeks. I got additional FOP and Slinky Dog for different days.
Stuff moves around a lot, you'll get them.

Same here. If it doesn't work, try the "refresh" option and you will eventually get what you want or a time very close to it for both. That worked for me on FOP which is the toughest FP to get from what I keep reading.

SDMT should be more difficult. However, I would try for the one that is earlies in your trip. FPs are generally easier to get toward the end of your trip. In reality, where you are only there 2 days, the order you try isn't really going to make a great difference.
