FP available before AK opens?

I need some assistance with fastpasses on our AK/HS day. We have our HS fastpasses, but apparently we can't get AK fastpasses since it's a different park?

Anyway, we'll be in AK for breakfast at Tusker House (8:30am) before the park opens at 9am. Will we be able to get a FoP fastpass on our way to bfast, or will one of us have to run to the kiosk mid-meal?

Also, we plan to head over to the Kilimanjaro Safaris right after bfast, so that might be ok without a FP.

Thanks in advance!

We only have 2 FP set up for that day, just in case we can do this. Just not sure if we'll be able to before AK opens even though we'll be in the park. It's my first time at WDW so all of this is a bit confusing haha.

You won't be able to get any Animal Kingdom fast passes if you have three set up for HS and haven't used them.

You won't be able to get any AK fastpasses in the morning if you have 3 fastpasses booked for DHS. By the time you get out of your breakfast, FoP will likely be a 3-4 hour wait, and the Safaris could also be an hour wait. It depends on the day you are going and what time of year you are going.

I think you're a bit confused how FP works. You can't get FP at a different park when you have them booked at one park. And there is no need to use a kiosk, as everything that is available to you can be booked in the app.

There likely will not be FoP FP available the day of in any case. And having a Tusker House breakfast reservation is actually counterproductive to getting to Pandora. The lines start forming an hour before opening or more, so you would have to backtrack to the end of the line after you eat. Kilimanjaro Safari will be a great choice after breakfast.

If you have any pre-selected fastpass set up in another park, you still won't be able to get a fastpass for FoP or any attraction in AK.

You get to reserve 3 Fastpasses per day (same park), not per park. Since you already have 3 for HS you cannot get any others until those three have been utilized. You can cancel the HS Fastpasses and change to AK if you wish, then try to get extra FP's for HS after the AK ones are used. By the way, you can begin looking for and reserving a 4th FP as soon as you scan into your 3rd FP. You do not have to have actually completed the attraction. And it can be for any park.

Edit - Even with only 2 FP's you cannot get a 3rd FP at a different park. Definitely read the Fastpass FAQ thread.

one. you can do everything you can do with the kiosk on your phone so no need to run to the Kosik

You have to use your three fast passes at one park before you can book fast passes at another park. You can do it on your phone. You don't have to be in the park to do it. You might want to switch your park days around and see if there are any FoP fast passes left for your last park day of your vacation at this point. You might have a chance.

Your best strategy for a split day like this depends on what you wanted to do at each and unfortunately, I think a pre-opening breakfast at a park where you don't have FP isn't really ideal but since you're unlikely to be getting any Pandora fastpasses at this point - not sure it matters.

As others have mentioned, if you have afternoon FP at one park - you're done with FP for that day until you've used them. It's not a bad strategy but it's often more useful to hit rope drop at the first park and your breakfast will make you miss about 45 minutes of prime standby opportunity. IF you were able to change your ADR to 9:30 or 9:45, I think you'd be far better off trying to hit Safari or maybe even Navi, and Everest in the first 30 minutes right at rope drop and then hit 1-2 more rides standby before heading to DHS for your FP there. By the time you're out of Tusker House, it'll likely be 9:45 and the lines will have started building (definitely too late to do Pandora standby without a 90-120 minute wait but the other rides will still be only moderate waits for a little longer).

Depending on the rides you got FP for at DHS, you may decide to try to change your FP to AK for after breakfast and then do add'l FP at DHS. The issue is that some rides like ToT, RnR, and TSM are harder to get a 4th FP (but not impossible at lower crowd times).

Am I wrong in thinking even at the 60 day out mark the FoP FPs are usually gone? I don't think you will have luck getting them the day of. Have you looked to see if there are any available today for the day you are going? Or is it more than 60 days out?

Thank you! This was super informative and strategic! I think we're just gonna have to scrap in-park breakfast since it's a 2-park day. I'm going to use this strategy for my other days though, thank you again :)

Hmmm, you're right. I don't want to risk it, so I am doing HS first then AK. I was able to get a FoP FP for the afternoon, so this works out better!

If you already have HS FP for that day, you can't get FP in a different park until either you have used your HS FP or the times for all of them have already expired. And even if you could get AK FP for that day, getting same day FP for FOP is nearly impossible.
