I've read the FAQ but couldn't load the images relevant to my questions and would like to make sure........

I'll be visiting AK for a couple of hours on an EMH morning and would like to make an FP for Flight of Passage. The plan is then to hop to Epcot for the International Festival of the Arts.

1. I'd like to use my remaining two FPs at Epcot. Is this possible?

2. If so, when can I book my Epcot FPs?

3. I got the impression that I would not be limited to Tier 2 FPs at Epcot. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Yes. Pre-book the FoP FP+ and nothing else for that day. Then, after you scan your MB at FoP to enetr the FP queue, add your FP+ at Epcot, and yes...you can add tier one FP+

If so, when can I book my Epcot FPs?
Ater you scan your MB to enter the FP queue at FoP

You could just as well, book the 3 FPs at AK if there are 3 rides you want to do before you leave. If there are not 3 rides that you want to do at AK, then adding extra FPs here, is not a benefit.
You can't book the FPs at EPCOT until you tap in at the last FP you have pre-booked so you have lost any early advantage to the FPs. The only difference from doing 3 at AK first instead of 1, is you could book 2 FPs at EPCOT, if available, instead of just 1 at a time. After your 3 are used, then you can only do 1 at a time, anyway.

Thanks, I'll be solo and plan to arrive in time to be at the front of EMH rope drop. The plan is:
Navi River Journey
Dinosaur
Everest (Single Rider if available)
FoP (FastPass)
First Lion King show

If I can't get a FoP FP I'll get one for Navi and join the Flight of Passage rope drop stampede. It's a lot of walking but I prefer that to waiting in line, something I really don't like when solo.

The afternoon plan is to have lunch at the IFotA kiosks and use the remaining FPs.

Rather than start a new thread, I have a parkhopping/FP+ question as well:

We are going to the EMM at Hollywood for Toy Story Land. We will be heading over to Epcot later in the day. I'm trying to figure out if we are better off just using our FP+'s at Epcot or if I would be able to use a couple Hollywood and then try and book FP+'s at Epcot once we use Hollywood FP+'s. There isn't anything other than the Toy Story stuff at Hollywood that we must do, and we won't need FP+'s for those with the EMM tickets.

I guess my question is, how hard is it to get a FP+ around 11:00/12:00 for Soarin' later that day for the mid-afternoon? Easy to get or am I better off just booking my FP+'s for Epcot 60 days out?

Thanks!

I haven't been to a EMM at the Studios yet but my plan for January is to hot foot it to R&RC and ToT at rope drop. I'll go to breakfast after riding those and save my FPs for the afternoon.

I've had pretty decent luck getting Soarin' as a 4th FP but I'm usually solo and travel during the slower times. If you're not planning on seeing Illuminations the lines near par close have been very short in my e perience. I almost always book Test Track as my tier 1 because it always seems to have a lot of down time.

Yes its possible.
If you only make 1 FP+ at AK you can start looking for 2 more FP+ at Epcot as soon as you tap in for the FOP FP+.
You CAN make a tier 1 FP+ at Epcot along with a tier 2.

Given what you describe, I’d pre-book your FPs at Epcot and don’t worry about any at DHS, especially since there isn’t anything there other than TSL that you want to do. If you do want to do ToT or RnR, head straight there at rope drop/end of EMM and knock those out before circling back for breakfast. That’s what I’d do.

Have fun!

That’s pretty much what I was thinking too. Looking at worst case scenario at the possibilities, the early afternoon wait at Soarin w/o a fastpass would be longer than an early morning rope drop wait at RnR.

Thanks!

I hope they make all this FP stuff a little easier. I really enjoyed the paper fastpass days with no time window enforcement!

If you're going solo and the ride for FOP is very long, mention to the CM at the entrance that you're going solo... they may (or may not) give you the chance to go over the FP+ line.

They did it for me on my visit last year, it was a whopping 420 minutes long because they were having technical difficulties, and the CM allowed me on the FP line. When I got to the other CM she just said, "You're the single rider, right?" And then showed me to my row. I was out in less than 20 minutes. It was one of the nicest things. If not I would have left because I was not going to spend 7 hours in line, lol.

The ride actually broke down about 10 minutes after I got out and they brought security and all before announcing the "Out of Service" to the masses of people waiting. So I have a lot to thank the CMs that day. :-)
