FP+/ADRs and switching from onsite to offsite hotel

We currently have reservations for POR and are thinking about switching to an offsite hotel for various reasons. I already scheduled a bunch of ADRs and all my fast passes.

I’m assuming ADRs will stay as is, even per-park opening reservations. Is that correct?

I know if I cancel my Disney package the fast passes will be cancelled. But I’m wondering if there a way to transfer them from one park ticket to another? For example, if I purchase park tickets separately and link them to my Disney account before canceling, can I move them from one ticket to another? Can I just cancel my resort reservation and keep my tickets?

Any suggestions?

ETA: I just realized I can’t transfer them now because final payment is one day before the day I can make FP reservations offsite. But I’m still curious to know whether I can cancel my resort with canceling my tickets, generally speaking.

FPs remain linked to your MDE Profile lines as long as there are tickets, any valid tickets, linked to those same Profiles.

FPs are not linked to tickets. They are linked to your MDE account based on valid tickets also being linked.

Yes.

Yes, this. I would recommend purchasing your tickets separately, linking them to MDE and then canceling your resort package. That way, when you cancel the package, you will still have valid tickets in your MDE account to support the FP+ reservations.

So if I’m offsite and I can’t make fast pass reservations until I’m 30 days out, will those fast passes remain even if my onsite reservations are canceled? I guess that’s confusing me because I was able to make them 60 days in advance because I’m currently on site. My final payment is Dec 30. If I switch to offsite I technically wouldn’t be able to make the fast pass reservations until Dec 31.

Yes: as long as valid tickets are linked all FPs remain.

Cancel your onsite reservation as soon as you know you don’t want it so that someone else can book your room.

Thank you. And yes, I will do that. Still deciding but as soon as we’re sure I will cancel it.
