Fox News at WDW Resorts?

disney has always wanted to offer immersive and fantastic worlds of fantasy to children of all ages, shapes, and sizes...regardless of their iq

So the addition of Fox News is well inline with that:cool1:

Agreed finaly stepping it up a notch:cool2:

In reality I am against all news these days, now matter what you watch, Cable, Natioanl traditional networks or local news they all put their own twist on it instead of just laying out the facts and letting the people think and make their own opinion.

I am very happy to see the history channel on there

Doesn't ZDisney own at least a portion of teh tarvel channel. For a while they were a go.com

sounds good to me... although we don't really watch tHE news on vaca. lol. i'm all for fox being available for those who do :)
btw love your picture- GO OHIO STATE !! <3

Before this gets carried away, remember that political discussions are verboten on the DIS...

Yeah...but we're bored.

Perhaps if Disney wasn't in minimalist mode.

Anybody else notice that it's going on 3 years since the "big" fantasyland and Hyperion wharf announcements?

And they've since bucketed one of them?

Can't help but laugh at the idea that either Fox or MSNBC or CNN represent an "intelligent" choice in anything. There's more intelligence on the channel that shows the parade times.

Regardless of political views, I found this hilarious - it was in response to Fox News calling The Muppets "communists" because the bad guy was a rich oil baron...
The Muppets Attack Fox News

News, be it TV or print, has a long, rich history of biased political views. Fox is no exception.

Or enjoying the existence of a news channel because it irritates people who disagree with their own political views. :confused3

I don't watch any cable news channels, regardless of which side of the political spectrum they happen to fall on. Frankly, I find them all fairly useless and so desperate to fill a 24-hour news cycle that in the end they barely provide news (hence the Muppets segment I posted about earlier. I mean, really?!).

And I certainly don't care one way or another if the hotels in Disney World start getting whatever news channels. If I'm at Disney, I'm going to the parks and enjoying my vacation...not sitting in the room watching TV. :thumbsup2

And then they got all mad about it. Hey...if they didn't want to get made fun of by the Muppets, then they shouldn't have aired such a nasty, mean-spirited, completely incorrect, and blatantly stupid segment in the first place.

It was just funny in so many ways:

-The things they were accusing The Muppets of doing (making corporations evil, forcing an environmental message - which the film never does) was exactly the plot of Avatar...which is a Fox movie.

-The segment sounded exactly like a Sam the Eagle sketch on the original Muppet Show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCVmKN5At_o

But, I loved Forbes comments about the whole incident:

This is, of course, ridiculous. Kermit and Piggy, as well as the rest of the gang, have always exemplified the entrepreneurial spirit. Kermit managed to make a success out of the Muppet Show and its ancillary marketing despite a ton of obstacles in his path, including amnesia, Frog Leg moguls, and the attempted theft of the Baseball Diamond. Miss Piggy has been a fashion icon for decades now, and as we learn in the new film, she’s been spending her days as the Editor-In-Chief of Paris Vogue.

Perhaps Fox should pay attention to the fact that the Muppets have always been a strong voice for opportunity. Their foes have been those in the business world who routinely use fraud, coercion, and cronyism to succeed where they’d be unable to on the open market. Kids need to learn that sometimes their competitors in business and in life will cheat to get their way. The important lesson, though, is that you never stoop to that level – be honest and true to yourself, you stand up to the bad guys, and then you succeed. Indeed, being yourself and standing up to evil is success.

Which is exactly true. :thumbsup2

Oh, regardless of what your favorite news channel is: if you're in Disney World, turn off the TV and go to the parks!
