We have dinner at 7:10PM for a group of 10. What is the latest seating that R & C offers? We are trying to decide if we can stay there until 10pm for Illuminations. Thanks

First, I love the irony of dining in the British pavillion on Independence Day. ;)

I thought Illuminations was at 9:00, but maybe I was looking at a different schedule. You might be able to get a later time. I think people typically book around 7:45 or later for a 9:00 Illuminations, so I'm guessing 8:30 or so would work for 10:00.

We were just there this spring and also booked R&C so we would have a good view of illuminations. I was a bit dissappointed in the menu/food offered at R&C ... it was okay, just not special enough to warrent the price. Also, when it was time for Illuminations, the viewing area was already full and we had to stand behind 2-3 rows of people. Okay view, but we could have had that anywhere.

Now, you might get "lucky" and get an outside table, but don't count on it.

I won't be doing this again, nor could I recommend it to anyone who might be watching $$$.

Just my personal opinion based on recent experience.

There was nothing later than the 7pm spot. Did people who dined at R & C just go down by the pavilion after they ate and that is why there were already 2-3 rows of people? thanks

That was my first thought too!!

Do they have special fireworks for July 4th? Perhaps that's why the OP thought it was 10pm. Normally Illuminations is at 9pm. I guess people can loiter over dinner and then stroll down to watch from the viewing area if they are close to firework time, so I can see it getting crowded down there.

I would agree with VAN to an extent about the menu. I think the entrees are pretty poor. Their interpretation of British foods leaves something to be desired. I'm biased as I'm English. The more recent menu's I've seen look like something I would find in a restaurant in USA, not in UK. There are a couple of UK staples, but that's about it. I think it's the accompaniments (sides) that have me sort of going huh???? However the appetizers and desserts are very good. I think you will still have a good meal.

I love Rose and Crown, and have had some great seats for Illuminations in the past (I've found if you're friendly and don't have the hostess a hard time, they'll put you in a good location)

Granted there's only two things I ever order from the menu: Fish and Chips or the Prime Rib (not adventurous, I know, but yummy). They do a nice job on both those dishes, so I've never been disappointed. Plus, I've found the best service in Epcot here; all of my servers have been friendly and seem to have a great sense of humor.

IllumiNations is at 10:00 on July 4th. Eating at 7:00 might be alittle too early but with 10 people it will take you longer to eat. We have done this in the past and always lucked out with an outside table on the water side and had a great view of IllumiNations - but with a group that large they might put you inside.
