I'm trying to figure out if I can get a good rate at a nice hotel (Marriott, Embassy Suites, Hilton, etc) if I was able to get a government rate or take my chances on Priceline.

Is there one nice hotel that you would recommend?

Thank you!

Check www.tripadvisor.com Look for reviews for Anaheim hotels. It all depends on how big your family is, what your budget is, if you have special needs or concerns, if you plan on renting a car and how much convenience plays in your decision.

I usually go without DH, so we always stay onsite. My kids can fall asleep standing up, so when they're tired, they just fall asleep regardless of where they are! I like the convenience of being close and I usually don't rent a car since I have friends and family in the area.

Of course, ymmv.
