Has anyone stayed here? Can you tell me what it's like?

We are thinking of staying here for a week when we go back next year :cool1: , we stayed at Best Westwern Movieland this year and loved the location. Four Points was close to our hotel and from the outside looks great.

I have looked at prices and can get it for about £200 (after 10% off Hotelopia discount and 10% Quidco!) for a week next september.

Thanks! :)

I think this is what was previously know as Sheraton Studio City? If so i've stayed there and loved it. Location was great without a car (or even if you have on and want a drink in the evenings, plenty of restaurants within walking distance) and the rooms were much nicer than we were expecting. They were either on a par or better than POFQ I would say. £200 sounds like a bargain!

Everytime this hotel gets talked about its usually good reports, we don't like Idrive but that end is better than being in the middle. Stayed at Homewood suites very close to it.
I have been telling a few people about the rate on Hotelopia, great price for this hotel. If thats the area you want to stay in then I doubt you will find anything better for that money.

Yes, the hotel's full name is Four Points by Sheraton Orlando Studio City which is a bit of a mouthful!

Im glad the rooms are just as good as POFQ's, that was one of the other options we were looking at but I think it's rather expensive. So I think we are going to go with Four Points.

I have'nt been there, but one of the mum's from dd7 school only came back from there 2 weeks ago+she said it was a lovely hotel. When are you thinking of going as there are ongoing renovation works from 25th July 2008-29th January 2009.She said there was no microwave, but if you wanted a fridge, they were on a first come first served basis, they was'nt able to get one until the 4th night.
It does look like a lovely hotel-i must say.x.

We are thinking of going Sep 09, so not for a long time yet! Dosn't stop me from planning though! :goodvibes

This is where we stayed last sepember and we thought it was great. We didn't have a car and the location was fantastic for us (prefer SW/IOA/US/BGT etc to Disney - all easily accessed on foot or local transport from the Sheraton).

There are a few pics in my trip report - clicky the link in my sig if you want to see. IMO this hotel is a great choice - good price, fantastic location, and more than acceptable accomodation :thumbsup2

Oh and there are definately lots of good places to eat nearby - particularly liked that there is a Sweet Tomatoes about 30m away. The I-Ride stop No. 7 is right outside the hotel and there is a Walgreens right nextdoor as well which is handy.

We used the Disney transport a few times - obviously more convenient to have your own car but it was easy and reliable, and didn't cost anything. It takes you to Epcot transport area and then you have to make your way on the Disney Transport buses. The hotel also had transport to US/IOA and I think Seaworld too. We didn't use either of these as I-Ride / Feet were easier!

Staff were perfectly friendly - rooms clean, plenty of towels for room and pool. Bought our I-Ride passes at the hotel. The pool area did get a bit windy but the pool itslef was nice and the pool bar always seemed to be open.

Ok, I've rambled enough - if you have any questions let me know :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies so far peeps! :thumbsup2

So the plan so far is...

Book the Yotel at Gatwick, quite looking forward to staying here!

Book flights with Virgin for Sep 18 - Oct 2nd (may be extended if we decide to spend a couple extra days at Miami, we'll see how the saving goes!)

Book first weeks accommodation at a Disney resort, Caribbean beach resort looks most appealing so far. Will be looking out for free dining too. This will be our very first time staying at a Disney resort so be ready for tons of Q's!!!

Book second weeks accomodation at Four Points by Sheraton Orlando Studio City, looks perfect for us. Also we knw the area well after staying at BW Movieland last time.

Can't wait until I can start booking stuff!!! :cool1:

Happy planning! :goodvibes I haven't stayed at CBR but it looks like a nice resort :) We did a similar timeframe last year (13th-27th Sept) and it was a great time to go, really low crowds!

The logo ball on top of the roof just doesn't look quite right with the Four Points name on it compared to when it had the Sheraton name, but it is the same hotel and the same company. Four Points is a little bit more inexpensive brand in the Sheraton family. Great location directly across from Wet'n'Wild and very close to Universal. The new Prime Outlets International and Festival Bay are just 1-2 miles north.
