Is it possible, you ask?

Well, if a family of four can eat for $75 a day, we can sure as all get out hit up all 4 major parks in ONE DAY! As a disclaimer, you should all note that neither Tour Guide Mike nor the Unofficial Guru himself were consulted before attempting this tactical feat. It's not that I don't appreciate their wisdom and knowledge, I just didn't want to know what kind of **** we were in for ahead of time.

Are you scared yet? It gets worse... we did this on Memorial Day. That's right, the very day that 99% (remember, 87% of all statistics are made up) of the american 9-5 workforce is off... and probably just itching to go to WDW!!!

We had a four day trip to WDW, and only one day hoppers. Our intent was to visit the water parks for 3 days (we did 2 plus an impromptu visit to Kennedy Space Center) and see how many of our favorite attractions we could hit on the one day pass.

6 am we're up and showering for the day ahead. We stop off at the Pop food court (frozen cokes are good anytime!) get in the rental car and speed off to Disney-MGM where we use our Diamond parking pass to park in the first row. There's even a tram to take us the 50 yards to the front gate. We wait until the gates open and we rush to grab ToT fast passes and get in line for RnR. We probably wait a total of 15 minutes. Even my DD12 rides it this time and feels like she's been initiated into looping roller coaster womanhood. DD17 gives her the high 5 and we're on our way to ToT. Fast passes let us walk right in and we thoroughly enjoy this ride, as always. We hit up the Great Movie ride and stop for a small snack at starring rolls. We do the Narnia adventure, we walk through the city scape, take some pictures and go sign in for our Sci-fi lunch reservations. We finish lunch and wait in line for mickey's autograph. We're out the front gate by 12:05 and on our way to Epcot.

It takes us 7 minutes to get to Epcot. Again, we use our parking pass and walk right up. We go to get FP for Test track, and before we do, a nice man hands us the FPs he just got, saying the time is too late for them. Yahoo! We run over and get Mission Space FPs too and we hit up world showcase in the meantime. We're a little annoyed that we're still full from lunch because we all wish we could have split a schoolbread. We ride Maelstrom, and wander to Morocco where DD17 gets a henna tattoo and my kids do some major candy shopping in Japan. We wander further and DD12 gets some leather braided bracelets made for friends back home and I give away our ADRs for Le Cellier at 8 pm to a nice threesome who had just been turned away from making reservations. That's right, I gave up a meal at Le Cellier to park hop! We wander to the living seas and do Soarin. We then walk over and do both Mission Space and Test track. We did not even need our fastpasses for Mission space, but we did on Test Track. At 5 pm we walk out to the car and go back to Pop to plan the rest of our evening and freshen up.

At this point we can't decide between MK and AK. We really want to ride EE, but we're afraid waiting in line will take all night. We decide to hit up AK, do ONLY EE, then hit up MK for the rest of the evening. Done Deal. It's now 6 pm.

Once again. we stop off for frozen cokes and zip over to AK. We park right up front and walk in and straight to EE. The standby line says 70 minutes, so we grit our teeth and get in line. Wow, the line sure is moving FAST! We're surprised, and happy the sun had moved over enough that the entire queue area was shaded. We reach the ride platform exactly 25 minutes after we get in line and we're thrilled it went so quickly. The ride was AWESOME and we proceed out the gate and over to MK. It's now 7:20 and we have the whole rest of the evening to spend at MK!!

We rush to Space Mountain and get fastpasses. The kids are complaining they are starved so we hit up Cosmic Rays for dinner. Not bad for Counter Service. Desserts were a little nasty. We walk over and get on the teacups, and follow that up with Philharmagic! Awesome show! We meander our way to Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain. While we're on Thunder Mountain Wishes starts and it's amazing! Every ride there is little to no wait. We bypass Pirates because we prefer the one in CA better. We get our Dole Whips and wander to space mountain. In this case there is a wait and right as we approach the loading platform, the ride breaks down. DD12 is bummed, but it's too close to closing to repair say the CMs, so we reverse and go out the way we entered.

We wander down Main Street and shop in the Emporium for a few souvenirs. We take the Monorail to the TTC and walk to our car and go to Pop....

A really great day, all in all. Please note, this should not be attempted by families with small children or anyone with a greater attention span than that of a young flea.

Now... before you think we're nuts... just know that I called CRO and booked ANOTHER trip for September without hoppers.... :)

:cool1:

That is Awesome !
Hubby and I want to do this, but try to catch all firework shows.
Crazy ? Nah - just adventurous.

What time did you get back to the hotel ?

We got back to the hotel about 11:45pm. Kids were asleep by 11:50pm!

Now... to make ADRs to dine where we've never dined before.... and a whole new Signature countdown! My kids think I have as much fun planning as I do vacationing... and I would agree!

:thumbsup2

Wow. That was quite a day! You got on all of my favorite rides that day :) Sounds like a fun day.

Thanks for posting.

I've always wanted to try four parks in one day so thanks for making me know it can be done. You guys really lucked out on your wait time for EE. :thumbsup2

I can't believe you did it. And it didn't even sound like a Commando Mode at all.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.
