Four Parks in 1 day. Plan look OK? (Just back Update pg 3)

I think you can save time by going to MK in your pajamas and going to Splash Mountain first where you can shave and shower during the final hill.

Like others, your EPCOT schedule is going to be the most difficult because you don't have guaranteed Fast Passes and you will be late getting there for EMH as well.

but don't you want to enjoy 'Disney'????

how will you appreciate each ride if you are thinking 'oh - i have got to get to this ride at that time.', etc.

One final question since it looks like AK parade is out, should I swap MK and AK and do AK first?
Absolutely not. Your only chance of getting the three mountains done in two hours is to start hitting them right when the park opens. It will never happen if you show up at lunch time.
I don't think you will get to Soarin, I hear Fast Passes are gone by early morning and stand-by line can get up to 2 hours long, unless you get in line as the very last thing you do, and be in line before Epcot closes at 9:00.
The wild card here is thet it is an Extra Magic Hour night. Our last trip in May we were at Epcot for EMH in the evening and we were able to get a fastpass at 9:00 pm for a return just before midnight. We ended up running over there and getting to the entrance to Soarin just AFTER they put the chain across..........but they let us by and we were the last ones to enter the fastpass return line.

If one plans to park hop, how long does it take? Several folks here mentioned the Disney buses, and their discussion made it sound like this is a slow way to hop. How are cars faster?

They might not be.

Using the busses you leave a park and hop a bus at the front of the park to another park. You have to wait for the bus, and make whatever stops, and how long it takes depends on how long you wait.

With a car there is no waiting, but you have to make your way to your car. At the MK that can take a while if you are in the parking lot.

The buses, especially to the parks, are usually pretty efficient. Either way (bus or car) you need about a half hour (on average) gate to gate from one park to the next. Disney tells you to leave an hour if using WDW transportation, but it doesn't always take that long.

I don't know if your plan will work or not as I don't have that much experience. But I am excited just thinking about it. You will have to let us know how it works out for you. I can picture a 6'4" man running through the parks to get to the next ride. :rotfl2: Good Luck!!

So does that mean that you cannot get a bus directly from A to B? For example, can you get a bus from MK directly to Epcot, or do you have to ride a circuit?

We've never used the buses a whole lot (always rent a car), but you can generally get a direct bus from park to park or from a resort to park (with a stop or two possible if more than one resort shares a bus route). The real downfall of the WDW transport systm is resort to resort travel. There are no direct buses for that kind of thing, but buses to the parks are usually pretty good.

We've done 4 parks in one day, but get to do much in Magic Kingdom.
First: Animal Kingdom, we did Safari, ITTBAB, Dinosaur
second: MGM, TOT, RNR, Muppets
Took a swim break at hotel
Third: MK, but it was very busy, we got to go on BTMRR and that was it.
Epcot: Test Track, innoventions, living seas, and then the walk around the countries. Then Illuminations. By this time it was 10:00pm
I have to say we were completely exhausted. We had a leftover one day park hopper left and it was a quick 3 day trip, so we got in as much as we could.

if you are interested, i haven't seen the 06 but the 05 ( and i believe earlier versions) UG has a chart that compares driving a car to taking disney trans and disney is almost always faster, sometimes only by a few mins. but still faster. they take into account everything from leaving the park entrance to getting to the destination . i think some do not do account for gettting to the car ect. i thought it was interesting cause how can an individual really know otherwise unless 1/2 of their group goes on one trans and the other drives, too many variables

have fun op...make good use of your long legs as you stride through the parks! it sounds like a really fun day! only thing i might add is if you get to ak late i would skip safari. it's one of my personal favorites but so much better in the early am i would just do it early when the rest of your party arrrives.

You mean the Unofficial UG by Sehlinger? I hope so. I have that on order from Amazon.

Good luck! :)
Its too rushed for me...I would rather move at a slower pace and enjoy WDW

Just got back last night and wanted to update on my 4 park adventure.

I arrived at MK just before opening. There was a light rain so no opening show. Waited at the end of Main Street for a while then they let us in to the edge of Tomorrow land. Went Directly to SM

Rode SM with no wait. Traveled to Frontier Land via Fantasy land.
Pooh had no wait so rode it.
Peter Pan had no wait so rode it as well. (I know they weren't on the list but when they are a walk on I couldn't resist.
Rode BTMR with no wait.
Rode Splash Mountain with no wait.
The train was in the station so rode it to the front.

Left the park and rode the monorail to the Grand Floridian.

Went in real quick to look at the tree and the Ginger Bread House. Went to the bus stop went on to AK.

Rode Dinosaur and Primevil Whirl (2nd longest wait of the day about 10 min).

Got Fast Pass for Safari and went to eat at Tusker House. Fast pass time wasn't quite up yet so went around to look at Everest (Still Closed)

Rode Safari.

Left AK and Went on to MGM. Got Fast Pass for ToT.
Rode RnR.
Saw Muppet Vision 3d while waiting for ToT Fast Pass
Rode ToT.
Was still early for 3:30 Parade so Ride Great Movie Ride.
Waited around but 3:30 parade was canceled because of the rain. I didn't go for the second trip on ToT and RnR because I had been up late the night before and tired.

Went back to the resort for a nap.

Left about 6:00 for Epcot. At dinner at the Land Pavillion. Soarin' at a 60 min. wait. Skipped it for now.
Rode Figment.
Walked around World Showcase and made it just in time for the final showing of Candlelight Processional.

Walked back on around World Showcase and watched illuminations from the front of world showcase.

As soon as it was over, I went to Soarin' Rode with a 10min Wait.

Went to the living Seas and saw Turtle Talk with Crush (cute show).

Went across to Test Track (which had been closed earlier because of the rain). Rode in the single rider line.

Finished up with Mission Space. Got in the capsule but had to get out before riding for "Technical difficulties". On the way to the exit I noticed them cleaning out a capsule from a "Protein Spill" They gave me a Fast pass for any time later which I didn't use. But looped around to the front and got right on again in the single rider line.

Out of my origional list I missed.

Goofy's Barnstormer
Expedition Everest (Still Closed)
Parade (Canceled because of Rain)
Light Motor Action (Canceled because of Rain)
2nd ride on Tot and RnR.

Items Added
Peter Pan
Pooh
Figment
Turtle Talk and Living Sea
Break Time at the Resort.

All in All it was a great though tiring day. And if conditions are right would definately do it again.

WOW!!!! I didn't think it could be done!! You must have been wiped out after all that travelling!!! :earseek:

I think I would have been exhausted by the end of the day! You did get a lot done though!

Not bad, I am impressed. Next time though, take 2 days. :earsboy:

Mad props to you - that was a fantastic job. I can't believe you did all that and even took an afternoon nap!
