I am going solo for the first part of my trip in Decemer and want to ride most all of the thrill rides at least once before the rest of my party who doesn't ride thrill rides joines up.
This whirlwind tour will be on Thursday December 8th. MK has MVMCP, EPCOT has evening EMH (Till 12:30 am).

Splash Mountain

Like to do
Goofy Barnstormer

Must Do
Primevil Whirl
Everest (I hope but not counting on it)

On to MGM
Must do
Tower of Terror
Tower or Terror

Parade 3:30(Missed this parade as well because of rain last 2 trips)
Fantasmic 7:00
Lights Motor Action 4:30

On to Epcot
Must do
Test Track
Soarin
Mission Space

Like to do
Candlelight Processional 8:15
Illuminations 9:30

On to OKW
Sleeeeeep

Does this plan seem reasonable? I know I won't be able to see both parades. I haven't seen either one yet so I am going to try to not be in transit between parks at that time. I also know I probably won't have a seat at the CP but if I walk between the parks can I make it in time to stand in the back? Are there any rides you can think of I missed?

You won't be riding everest thats for sure!!
Sounds crazy, but you'll have some great stories to tell!

Back several years ago, before I had kids, went with a friend and we hit, in order, MK, Epcot, AK and Studios all in the same day, hitting between 4-8 chosen attractions at each.. Was in late October and walked onto everything, but still got it done..

In Aug we did 3 parks with no problem but we did not plan as much as much as you. We did MK, MGM and then Epcot. We also had a car. I think you can do it.

I think it's possible... but it won't be easy!! Don't forget to take travel time into account, especially if you're relying on Disney buses.

I think if you have a car it shouldn't be a problem, it may be tough, but it can be done. Good luck!!

Well, it starts to fall apart with the AK parade and gets a little worse from there, but you just might be able to do most of it. You should be able to get all the MK and AK rides done by 2:00ish. From there it's anybody's guess.

Figure about 2 hours in the MK. (Arrive at opening, get fastpass for Space on way to Splash. Ride Splash and BTMRR. Hit Barnstormer on the way back to Space. Ride Space and leave.) Assuming you are relying on WDW transportation you should be at AK before noon. Figure about 2 hours in AK to get your rides in. (Get fastpass for Safari on the way to Whirl. Ride Whirl and Dinosaur. Back to Safari.) So now it's around 2:00. So what do you do now?

Don't wait around for the AK parade or you'll never make your plan. Too bad because the AK parade is worth seeing while the MGM parade is not.

Anywhoo, it off to MGM and you should be there by 2:30ish if you're lucky. But things take a turn for the worse at this point as your MGM plans are a little ambitious. If you are lucky the lines for RnR and ToT will be short and the fastpass return times will be reasonable. Even with a fastpass for one or two rides rides, getting two rides in on both will be a challenge while still doing the other stuff. You may be able to hit RnR and ToT once each before the parade (grab a fastpass for one as you may need it to save time later). After the parade you will have to head to Lights, Moteurs, Action. By the time that's done it's probably 5:30ish. Hit Star Tours on the way back to RnR/ToT. If you can get them in, hit these again before Fantasmic, but you might not be able to.

Whew.....so now it's pushing 8:00 but you've gotten most everything in (sorry those two rides on RnR and ToT didn't work out for you ;)). So it's off to Epcot where things really go to H-E-Double Hockey Sticks.

Forget about Candlelight Processional as you'll arrive too late (great show by the way). At this point you'll probably have about 4 hours in Epcot to hit the rides you want and see Illuminations. You should be able to do it. Head to Soarin and get a fastpass (you won't need one for M:S, and there won't be any left at TT at this point.) Try to ride TT first. My best guess is that you ride that and have to head over for Illuminations. If the line is too long do M:S. After Illuminations head back to ride TT or M:S, and then it's back to Soarin.

You know, you may end up with an hour left in Epcot before they close down.......assuming you haven't passed out from not eating or going to the bathroom by then ;).

Seriously......have fun trying. Back when we were DINKs (Double Income No Kids) we often hit three parks in a day, but nothing as ambitious as your plan.

I think you can do it....just get started early......I think it would be awesome...DH and I did 2 parks a day our entire trip...except for 1st day, we did 3 AK, MK, EPCOT.....you will probably be rushed, but I think that will add to the thrill!!! DOn't forget travel time between parks! :cheer2:

You will be amazed at how fast you can move when you are on your own. Go for it. Don't forget to eat ;)

On my first few trips to Disney World (first attended in 1996) i was like a kid at an amusement park. I wanted to cover all of the rides. So my wife and i pretty much went on a whirlwind tour of all the parks. We usually spend the first day riding all of the rides so i can tell you with almost absolute certainty that you can do almost all of the ones you would like to knock out first from your list. Ever since we've been going this is what we do. We do all of the rides that we want to get on during the first half of the day, then whatever time's left in the day we meander through our park of choice capping off the evening at Epcot since that park is generally open the longest.

The rest of the days we spend watching the parades and doing all of the shows. Since we mostly go 2nd week of December or during a school week, the lines are generally short which helps us accomplish this feat. Good Luck and have fun. :wave2:

P.S.
Check out my ticker. :bounce:

Mr. Kidds has done a fine job here. But, I am going to disagree with him just a little bit.

First, book yourself a nice breakfast at Kona, 'Ohana or Chef Mickey's. Drive to the resort for your "breakfast".

I suggest that you do MK in this order: Space, Splash, BTMRR. You'll be done with those three by 10:30am at the latest. Skip Goofy's Barnstormer, you'll thank yourself on this plan. You'll be back to your car by 11:00am and at AK by 11:30am. I wouldn't surprised if you beat these times, quite honestly.

Now, at AK, do as Kidds indicates. Here, you will be at the mercy of your KS fastpass return time. But, it is a Thursday in early December - so you've got that going for you. Ride Whirl before Dinosaur and head back to KS. Again, I bet you get out of AK before 2:00pm. Like Kidds said, don't burn up valuable time waiting around for the parade. Get in that car and get to the Studios!

First thing, grab a Fastpass for RnR, and then ride Tower. Around this time of day, during the lighter seasons, Tower rarely has much of a queue - it's one of those things you can count on most times. I really think you are going to find things favorable at the Studios. Again, you might want to bail out on the parade, that's a good opportunity to hit those attractions on your wish list. You should even have time to walk through Osborne Lights before you go to the 7:00p Fantasmic.

You'll be at Epcot by 8:15pm. Go Straight to Test Track and then Mission:Space. You'll sacrifice a great viewing spot for Illuminations, but you should be able to see it from just inside World Showcase. Right after the Finale, head for Soarin'.

We've done all 4 parks in one day and it worked out, but we did early entry to AK. You may not get to ride all of those rides since they usually have long lines. But hey it doesnt hurt to try, and don't be upset if you can't ride some things. Ps you will be exhausted.

Thanks for all the quick replies so quickly. Disneykidds and Allaboard your time schedules were coming out just about like mine. I am using Disney transportation so some there were some slight modifications in my times. Also I realised I wouldn't get ALL of the like to do's in. They were more of an If I'm around and have the time next level of attractions.

MK 9:00 - 11:00
Should be able to get the 3 mountains in. Barnstormer like you've said will probably be bumped (was added mainly for completeness anyways)

11:00 - 12:00 Travel to AK

12:00 - 2:30 AK
I think you guy are right to get Safari Fast Pass first think. Hoping to eat lunch here (either at Flame Tree or Tusker House).

2:30 - 3:30 Travel to MGM
Get fast pass for RNR Depending on time ride TOT or watch parade (swap). I'm 6'4" so standing in back and arriving just moments before the parade is fine. MGM is open until 8:00 so If I haven't gotten my 2 rides in on TOT and RNR I can catch 1 of them after Fantasmic.

7:30ish to 8:30ish Travel to Epcot.

8:15ish to 12:30ish Epcot
We will be doing CP later as a family so don't need to see it this time. Do you think the 2 1/2 hours after Illuminations of EMH will be enough for TT, MS and Soarin' or do I need to do 1 before illuminations?

One final question since it looks like AK parade is out, should I swap MK and AK and do AK first?

I don't think you will get to Soarin, I hear Fast Passes are gone by early morning and stand-by line can get up to 2 hours long, unless you get in line as the very last thing you do, and be in line before Epcot closes at 9:00.

Nobody's mentioned this, but do any of the rides have a Single riders line? I know Universal does this for some rides, but I'm not sure about Disney. That may help to cut down on your wait times.

If there is something you don't get to, I imagine you will be able to take it in later when your family is there. They can go ride some other rides while you are doing the ones you skipped.

Good Luck! and don't forget to eat! :cool1:

Yes they do and thats a great idea.
I would take advantage of single rider.

Three thoughts on your update:

1 - Don't fret the loss of Barnstormer, wouldn't consider it a thrill ride.

2 - I still think you can do TT and M:S BEFORE Illuminaitons.

3 - Don't do AK and then MK. On the chance that it turns out to be a big day at MK, you'll lose precious time trying to do the three mountains beginning at 11 instead of 9. You're best bet is to do MK first.

You'll probably find monorailing to Contemp and then hopping its bus to AK as your fastest route there.
