Hey everyone! We are back home, (sad). Will get more into everything this week, but wanted to at least check in and say Hi to you all. Missed everybody. We had a great time though, and I was thrilled to meet Magikitty. I've never been able to feel so comfortable with someone so fast. She is AWESOME!!!
I also have some other news for you all.....

Its so exciting. And, don't worry, you are supposed to be controlling. Its how we "nest." Just try to remember to let other people help you if they offer (not make decisions of course... just help execute yours. ) Your body is doing a lot of work right now. I have no room to talk, I refused to take it easy at all really, but I dish out advice way better than I take it.

Good afternoon everyone! it is absolutely perfect day outside--warm, sunny, not too hot--and of course I'm stuck inside! I am appreciating it from the wrong side of a windor and looking forward to a gorgeous drive home.

My twins come home from college tomorrow---has it already been a year? So we will have family spilling out of the rafters. We collectively cancelled the family road trip to Niagara Falls this weekend. We decided that such a long drive together would definitely lead to some sort of drama! Instead, we're holing up at my brother's house for a barbecue. My aunt and cousins and perhaps my sister will drive up Saturday--so maybe we won't get out of all the drama, but at least we won't be trapped in a confined area!

My nephew is petitioning to come to Hershey. Turns out there's a wedding on my SIL's side that he's trying to get out of that Saturday. I may make him wash my car this weekend as part of a paymen plan in return.

Ev! and Marie, your joke was so funny, and sadly, very true. To this day, my mother still says, "don't make too much noise when you get home. you don't want the neighbours to know you're there". I still don't get it. What's wrong with the neighbours knowing I live in my house? Strange Mom logic, but I'll let her have it. She's a good egg.

Fingers & toes crossed tonight. Would love to see Adam leave, but sadly I don't think that will happen. They've already crowned him.
Anyway, my house voted a total of 300 times last night for Danny. I had some roll-over minutes I needed to use up on the ol' cell phone so what the heck! Hope it does some good.

Well you never know what will happen. Ty finally got kicked off DWTS. He wasn't the best but I still liked him.

Anybody know a plumber? Couldn't get mine today and I have a steady run in my tub. If only I didn't take that shower this morning. I have to get it fixed...was going to Mom's in the am but now I guess, it'll be whenever.

I leave for Richmond on Friday...going to Williamsburg on Sunday if I feel ok. My poor cousin said they were calling for rain and it's an outside wedding at a botanical gardens. Better take the umbrella...

Contrary to what people are saying out there, he's really a nice, down-to-earth guy who also sings well. I like Adam & Chris too, but...#1 I have to support the local guy and #2 Adam fans are soooo nasty/mean!
Last week I voted 100 times. This week, I'll have to go non-stop for the full 2 hours.

I voted for him...But I am not watching the results show right now. It is recording.

I am not a big Adam fan at all. He is just okay

Kris looks like a boyfriend I had in HS. He was such a hottie! But he was obsessed with me to the point of creepy so I had to move on.

pepper, AC is about 3 hours from here and it's another 1.5 hours to Hershey. Maybe a little less. I am very excited about meeting you. Gotta warn ya, my youngest turns all my tker friends that she meets into her best friend. She's gonna try to talk your ears off.

Magikitty, I remember when the twins went off to college. I know for me, time just flies right on by now that I'm older. Seems like just yesterday, my youngest was a baby. Now she'll be starting Kindergarten. I told oldest DD that you may bring your nephew and he likes roller coasters. I actually got a smile and a "cool". At 13, it doesn't get any better than that.

Oh, and the school countdown is a "YAY" countdown. We leave for vacation 2 days after school gets out. But I'm sure a few days after we get back, I'll have to put a "YAY" countdown till school starts again.

marie, loved the joke!!! How are your plans for vacation coming along?

whgrn, I agree with D&D, ya got some hot doctor that you aren't telling us about. Take care of yourself and get some rest.

M&N, wish I could help you with the plumbing problems. Have you tried just looking up a handy man service to fix it. You know, someone who can make small repairs but nothing too complex. They might be cheaper than an actual plumber.

I would guess 3 1/2 to 4 hrs from Hershey to Atlantic City. I go to Ocean City and it takes that long but we stop several times. Are you coming Pepper?

Sorry about Danny...Did you go see him D&D? I think Simon was surprised he lost. He really doesn't have to worry. He may not have the title but he's going to get a great contract anyway.

No, I didn't get to see him on Friday. I was having my garage sale for Hershey that day. I'd like to see him when he comes home.
Probably for the best that he didn't make it. He's so not that stuck-up Hollywood type anyway.
Simon got exactly what he wanted. However, I think everyone underestimates what Kris can do. GO KRIS!!!!

M&N...how far is Harrisburg from Hershey? I just went on Priceline and they're offering crazy cheap hotels. There's one in central Harrisburg, 3 1/2 stars for $59/night! I'm just giddy thinking about a 3 1/2 star hotel--I never get to stay in nice places like that! But if its too far, then I may have to pass on it...and thinking about my nephew (oops, who will be 12 by then), it may not be the kind of place for him....

Sorry, M&N...I don't know any plumbers. I'll be sending good vibes that the tub decides to behave itself and stop running. have a safe trip this weekend and enjoy!

I finally got my Photopass pics uploaded! Between the five of us, we had 3 cards and 330 pics to go through! I also had nearly 150 pics on my own camera. I will admit, I took pics with some characters I don't remember the names of! And the flower fest pics do not do the topiaries justice.

Ok, looked it up quick....Harrisburg to Hershey, according to yahoo.maps is 21 minutes. Give me a couple of ideas of what hotels and I'll give you a more exact time and distance.

M&N, exactly how far are you from 1) Hershey Park, in time? 2) from the KOA campsite that D&D and I talked about?

Magikitty, is your nephew going to worry about the hotel or the park, rides and all the exciting things he's gonna want to do? I bet by the time you get to the hotel at night, he's gonna pass out on the first available bed. I know mine do no matter where we are.

pepper, do ya think you can stay over night at Hershey and then hop a bus back to AC the next day? Let us know what you are thinking and we'll try to come up with something. Would love it if you could make it too.

I think the campsite is about 10 min from my house. I haven't been out that way in ages...it's the way to Three Mile Island from here. It should take about 20 min to the Park. I know the short cut!
A lot would depend on what side of the river the hotels are on and the time of day because of the traffic.

Good morning friends! its gloomy and rainy here, but not too cold, so I don't mind too much. Sadly, my nicely washed and lazily left outside laundry is trapped on the line. I'll wait out the day and hopefully I'll be able to rescue it later tonight.

re: Harrisburg. That's the problem with Hotwire, you reserve a hotel without knowing which in particular it is. Sometimes, you can compare it to the offers on Priceline and piece together which hotel it is, but otherwise, its buyer beware. I used hotwire for my one night in Orlando two weeks ago, and got a "3 star hotel near the convention center" for $42 with taxes--it turned out to be a nice Holiday Inn near International Drive. If Harrisburg is only a few minutes from Hershey--under an hour, then it may be worth it to me, considering most hotels I priced were well over $130!

In terms on nephew, I'm not concerned with his liking the hotel, I'm concerned with chi-chi clientele getting annoyed with a tween boy next door enjoying the hotel too much! But anytime there's roller coasters involved, he'll behave much better than I'm used to. He's actually a little guy, shortest in the class, and has only been tall enough to ride in the last few years. He's a milk drinker with aspirations of getting tall!
