First of all, I don't follow AI so I'll take D&D's opinion on Danny.

Second, I've been very well behaved with Jr this year. In fact, until D&D asked for some track smack, I barely said anything bad about him personally. It's all her fault.

I checked the AI thread about the finalists and some thought Danny should have gone. I think at this point, it doesn't really matter. They all will probably get a deal of some kind. It's not necessarily the winner who does the best professionally.

Hey all. Still out here.

Stopping by to let you know we all survived the pirate party. (I can't believe my baby is 4!!) I'll post cake pics at some point... of both cakes! I finished the pirate ship cake around 1am on Saturday night and DH and I happily went to sleep knowing we didn't have too much to do before the party that we'd saved for the next day... Well, parts of this cake are unsupported, and its a moist cake, and the humididty was high...

I walk out into the kitchen Sunday morning, and THE CAKE HAS COLLAPSED!! The front and back of the ship have fallen right off, creating a devastating landscape of crumbled (although tasty) chocolate cake. DH had to run to the store to shop while I salvaged what I could of the base cake (I had a 13x9 cake under the pirate ship cake iced blue to be the ocean.) And then we had to start over baking and decorating a whole new cake before the party.

I didn't quite get the house where I wanted it to be, or the appetizers prepped or anything, but the cake got done, and DS had a good time, so all was well. It was, however, quite a morning... Arrrgggh.

M&N What do you mean TMI? I didn't say we were doing anything (too hot anyway ) The indoor/ outdoor thermometer is in the bedroom because my DH would be to lazy to walk out to the kitchen (or other room) to check.

Nope, he didn't care. He just liked that it did the stuff the one in the movie did and had buttons to push. So, I found one on amazon that was a more recent release and still available. Had to pay expidited (sp?) shipping, but worth it. It was his favorite present... until MIL got him a giant pirate ship complete w/ sword fighting pirates and a cannon. He hasn't stopped playing w/ it for 3 days. Its o.k. though, every now and then Buzz fights the pirates, so no new toys are getting lonely.

How do grandparents figure out what kids want when the kids didn't even know that they wanted that? Put the Buzz DVD on when Buzz needs some love.
