LITC, you are not alone. I don't sing either. At least when anyone is around. I figure everyone has enough bad things in their life without me adding to them. :rotfl2:

Have a nice night. Talk to you later.

M&N, since we life in a town that has a significant religious significance, there are lots of "events" going on. I know in past years, they have done a non-graphic re-enactment of the crucifixion.

Night LIV...

I've always wanted to come there at Christmas. There are bus trips then but I always seem to be busy. I didn't even get to drive around here for the lights.

I don't sing as good as I used too but I still enjoy singing...just do it in a quieter voice in groups.

I think my pica are actually uploading. I don't know how I did it though. I only picked out about 25 of them. I'll do EPCOT later.

Oh, you should visit here one day. As much as I dislike it here, they do get Christmas right. It's taken pretty seriously around here. There is one thing I don't like. On our highest mountain, there is a "Star" that would only be lit during the Christmas season. Kinda of symbolized the season to me. Well, a few years ago, they decided to keep it lit all year long. It just doesn't mean the same anymore.

I'm tired tonight. And it is already 12:30 am. I need to check out for the night. Have to get up early so I can wake up DD5 for her favorite show....How It's Made on the Discovery Channel (?). No cartoons for her. :rotfl:

Catch everyone tomorrow!!!

Night!

As soon as we got to MK, we went to City Hall to see Pinocchio. We probably waited in line about 40 minutes but it was a must for me because I had never seen him. I told him I was an elementary school librarian and that he needed to be a better example for the kids. He was cute and pointed to his nose. There was a PhotoPass person there.

While in line, we talked to the group in front of us. I noticed the little girl had a 1st visit to DW button on. It was the perfect opportunity to use a pin Racetrack sent me. She was excited to have it. She was shy but knew it was Euyore. They were from Canada. The rest had been before. I noticed one had a button on that had Mickey ear balloons and said I’m celebrating NO SNOW. Someone had written the no snow. They had gotten them in City Hall. We went of course. You could have one for free I had friendship written on mine. So did my friend. Her DH got a birthday one since it was that week. I was also thinking of my TK friends.

We saw some floats come out and go down Main Street. By the time we walked down Main Street-not a fast process with me taking pictures-the parade had stopped around the circle in front of the castle. It was called Move It Shake It Celebrate It Street Party. It was really neat. They were doing a dance in a congo-like line. They made us move back and got back on they floats and went back up Main Street. I lucked in and got a great spot to take pictures.

The castle show was starting soon so we decided to wait. We talked to another Canadian family. The mom had been there 25 years ago. They were doing it up right–Grand Floridian.

After the show and getting great castle pictures, we walked back to Liberty Square. Went in the Christmas Shop and pin store and then to Country Bear Jamboree. The only seats left were in the front row. They were great seats. You can get a different view for sure from there. I just love that show and silly humor.

Next we walked back through Adventureland to get a Dole Whip and eat our cheese and crackers we brought from home. After wandering through the shops and watching the 3 o’clock parade, we took the train to Toon Town. It was very crowded up there so didn’t bother to go in anything. We just kept walking to Fantasyland. Winnie had a 60 minute wait so we waved to Dumbo and went to Mickey’s Philharmagic. That has to be one of my favorites. We only waited 10 minutes for that. Then through the castle, down Main Street (getting a few more castle pictures) and to the Confectionary Store for rice crispy ears (the big one) and some cookies.

Next stop—the monorail ride back to the real world

Good morning...I'm off to the fitness center. All this skinny jeans talk got me going!

Hello everyone!!! It's turning into a beautiful day here. The sun is shining and it's only breezy for once.

M&N, those are some great pictures. I really like the one of the castle where it looks like it's getting stormy. And you got to share a pin. :woohoo: It sounds as though you had a nice relaxing time.

Did you all see they have been closing the MK because of max capacity? I saw some pictures from the last couple of days and it looks insane down there. For once, I am glad I'm not in WDW.

M&N Enjoying the TR..Seeing Pinocchio..even I might stand in line to see him. :goodvibes
Temps are only in the 70s now...but March and April have real bad winds..north of us they had 80 mph wind gusts yesterday. :scared1: I hate it when the sky is brown. Before it gets too dusty we can see the white sands being blown about. I always say "The sand dunes are on the move again". Every year they have to plow back one dune as is starts covering the main road to Las Cruces.

Not sure what our temperature got up to but I did see my first hummingbird outside. He flew by the window looking in like "HEY! Where's my feeder?" Must mean spring is really on the way!

Ooo. I love seeing hummingbirds! We get lucky some times and have a few visit our house.

Hey Liv...I guess we are having a bad case of skinny jeans envy and spring fever. Speaking for myself---I just wish I could wear my fattest jeans! After coming back from FL, I think they shrank. (That's my story...)
That is ABSOLUTELY what happened! (Happens to a lot of my clothes... every once in a while they "stretch out" again for a little bit, but then they suddenly shrink while I'm not wathcing! :lmao:)

Hey all, crappy day at work, had to run some errands after work-those where actually kinda crappy to, and now my favorite has been voted off Idol. I think I am done with that show. So I am in a bad mood. Well at least there are only 23 days until vacation!!!!!!

:hug::hug:
Hey---you are going to move down there so you cannot be mad that I got to enjoy it for a few days! I will agree about leaving the skinny jeans conversation...I wasn't allowed to have jeans when I was a teen. We could not even wear pants to high school. I had to buy my own jeans for Girl Scout camping. My dad saw it a sign of being poor I think. He had to wear them and didn't like it.

My mom used to say the same thing, that no one wanted to wear jeans when she was young... you only wore them if you had to. Funny how the times change, and now people wear them w/ blazers and fancy shirts and spend $200 on one pair!

They leave that on all year now? I didn't know. That is kind of a bummer.

Night!
DS loves that one too! Its nice to have something we can all watch together on occasion... and I like it b/c it prompts a lot of questions, so it actually gets us talking even more instead of zoning out.

Ha! I never would have thought of people plowing sand dunes!

M&N - Great mini TR! I love the pics.

Everyone else... hope all is well.

Can we stop talking about the skinny jeans?

Don't listen to her. ALL she wears is skinny jeans!!:lmao:

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! That's horrible!! It should just be lit for Christmas. I remember in college we took a ride over to Bethlehem to "find the star". We followed it up the mountain and found it, on a tower at a TV station building!!:rotfl2: But you're right Racetrack, they sure do get Christmas right! Been years since I've been up there for Christmas, but I may need to bring the kids up one of these days to see it.

Wow, me too. But I guess it's good news that they have all those people coming. Maybe the economy isn't so bad afterall? (don't we wish!) I had heard they were laying off alot of CMs. Hope they didn't do that too fast--with the crowds, they may need them back!

Here's my forecast:
Today, mostly sunny, 63. :sunny:
Friday, cloudy, rain at night, 52. :umbrella:
Saturday, chance of rain, 54. :umbrella:
Sunday, partly cloudy, 54. :hourglass
Monday, clear, 82. :beach:
Tuesday, clear, 82. :beach:
Wednesday, clear, 84. :beach:
Thursday, clear, 84. :beach:
Friday, clear, 82. :beach:
Saturday, clear, 84. :beach:
Sunday, clear, 82. :beach:
Monday, dreary and probably 46... :cold:

No wishful thinking needed!!

Ladies...a joke to lighten your day:

Between 31 and 35, a woman is like Spain , very hot, relaxed and convinced of her own beauty.

Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain , with a glorious and all conquering past.

Oh you are just so funny. :rolleyes2 :rotfl: I don't think we are going to get about 50 for the next week or so. So I hope you are thinking about me while I'm stuck here in the cold and windy (can't forget the wind) weather. :rotfl2:

Hello everyone! Yet another chilly day here. It flurried all day yesterday and it put me in a yucky, yucky mood. It is a bit warmer today and I put my comforters on the line. Which I should go get right now before it gets too dark.

My kids are home for Spring Break! I had been pouting for a while b/c it seemed that my nephew had gone off to college and forgotten about me. We've been hanging out this week and he still needs me! I feel so wonderful! I haven't been left behind.

I will say that college has changed A LOT since I was there!

Skinny jeans? What's that? :rotfl2: In general, I don't like pants. I carry most of my weight in the middle, so what fits in the abdomen is just enormous from the hips down. Its very frustrating. Avoid it as much as possible.

Congrats on the skinny jeans! Amazing! Looking sweet for the springtime...

I liked Scott on AI too, although I didn't watch last night. Sadness.

Its so wonderful to see M&N posting again! Your pics were great! thanks for sharing.

I call my upper feminine parts "the girls". I guess I could call them the "bobs" now. Or rather, the "little bobs" since my name is Bobbie! Warning: TMI approaching...BF calls them "his pillows'.

Wendy...are you packed yet? Did you tell the kids? Did you get a new hot bathing suit to wear? Details! Must live vicariously through you. And btw...excellent move on the Chilis party scam. kudos!

I suppose that's better then "Funbags".:rotfl:

Yah Wendy, how did the kids react?

Ev!:lmao:

MagiKitty's vicarious life info:

I am "pre-packed". Everything except the last minute stuff has been pulled, and is sitting in a couple of unused dresser drawers. I'll pack the suitcases Saturday, most likely.

I have NOT told the kids. Laura told everyone she is going to "ride her bike alot" next week. :lmao::lmao::lmao: I plan to tell them Easter morning. That will give them about 10 hours to be excited before we leave!

And yes, I got a new bathing suit. I wouldn't exactly call it "hot". It's just a Lands End "Tugless Tank" in a sort of little dotted print. That and 2 of my usual solid tanks will do me just fine.

Pikester, "funbags"?:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I had DS take my picture today for my "after" pic. He took one with my cell phone (really crummy quality) and I sent it to my sister. i was on the phone with her when she opened the email. She went nuts. Now she wants me to come live with her for a year and be her "trainer". :rotfl: I will post a better picture when I get it out of my camera...

All I knew was that it wasn't going to be
beach.gif
weather in Cape May yet...I did check your trip tick and Scotland is not here yet and I knew it wasn't that great there either. I never read through all the missed posts so I guess I was as surprised as the kids will be. Have a great trip. Sunny days...:yay: And we are waiting for the after pic...:surfweb:

Hey, we've talked about 'the girls' before but hadn't heard those cute names. I guess we know each other better now...;)

Great geography lesson Ev...

I may not get time to check in tomorrow. Have a great weekend and good luck finding all those eggs!
